Psycho Beach Party - I actually really liked it, it's super funny and original. It gets a little stale after a while, but it's short so it's not a big deal. Amy Adams was super hot in it.

A Fish Called Wanda - One of the best comedies ever made.

The King's Speech

Loved it. Reaffirms my opinion of Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush as two of the best actors alive today.

Ditto. A beautiful film with great performances by both of them.

The Rain aka Dark Fields (2009)

http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...DarkFields.jpg http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...hdc/RainV2.jpg

The residents of Perseverance are oppressed with a curse after digging out a 'hat' of Indian Shaman. Each year they suffer an affliction to their bodies and a drought to their land. Desperate to save their families, the people of Perseverance make a pact with that evil-supernatural shaman who promises to bring rain to their town in exchange for the sacrifice of three of their children.

Though the plot sounds kinda cliched and the film is bit too long in length with some dull moments but it wasn't a bad movie at all. I kinda liked it. The tale of that cursed town told over in 3 generations in 3 parallel stories and they weave together nicely. The story is at times a bit on the cheesy side but a few other moments are more tense. The director did a good job at transitioning among the storylines by keeping the continuity intact. The cast includes David Carradine, Dee Wallace, Richard Lynch and Evil Dead’s Ellen Sandweiss.

"Fertile Ground" 5-6/10

Mediocre haunted house movie using the cheapest trick in the book to scare its audience. Sudden loud music. Bravo.

"The Ward" 7/10

Piss poor story, but with a nice twist at the end.

Not exactly a great watch but at least it was entertaining.

"The Shrine" 7/10

This one HAD and interesting story, but just like "Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer" director Knautz could have pulled it off much better. Also, I would have liked to see Trevor Matthews in the lead role, coz i thought he did a really good job in Jack Brooks. But he was good as well as a Polish sect member.

"Seconds Apart" 8/10

Damien x 2.

Story, acting, direction, visuals. Pretty much everything about it was solid.

Thanks for the rec, Ros.

The Ward

It was decent. I liked the ending but i've seen this kind of thing a couple times so nothing really new.

Definitely not John Carpenter's best but not all of his movies can be as good as Halloween and The Thing. Not his worst either. I enjoyed it.
