Checking it ou with the neighbour and some beer tomorrow..looking forward to it.
Yeah I think it was like...hugely better than the last one, it's like the first time I've looked at this series (or at least the sequels) and thought there was an actual plot in play.
Let us know what you think.

Went to see Disney's African Cats this afternoon...not really my kind of thing, didn't think I'd like it at all - but wow.

The narration is pretty silly at times (despite Samuel L. Jackson) and the "story" that they try to piece together seems a bit forced here and there...but man, just watching these animals move is breathtaking, really beautifully shot. It's definitely censored for young audiences - the kills all cut away or are conveniently shot behind scenery - but still, these creatures are incredible to watch. They are the very definition of grace and sheer power...my jaw was hanging open the whole time.

There was nothing on TV last night that interested me, so I put John Carpenter's The Thing in the DVD player. Love this movie!

The Green Hornet

I didn't hate it, but Seth Grogan made me hate his character so much I wouldn't want to watch a sequal unless I was assured he would have a gruesome death!

5/10

Satanic-this really was an awful movie in the sense that it had some great ideas in it but they got lost in its poor execution. The fight scene at the end is one of the most woeful I have ever seen. In fact I'm only mentioning this film for its totally surprising reference to Ilsa:She Wolf Of The SS but that was only one scene and I doubt it was worth sitting through all of this. I only stuck it on originally to see Jeffrey Combs who was mentioned top billing in the cast list. Sadly he was only in it for 5minutes as a detective. I hope he was well paid for being associated with this piece of crap-he probably thought it would turn out to be a great film based on its script. Sadly it turned out to be very poor.

I believe you are a right-I fell for the same trick again a while back with Pray For Morning (2006) which had Udo Kier in top billing. Luckily this film was tons better than Satanic but you are only watching it for Udo Kier who has the best character, lines and presence in it. It's quite clever in the way they trick fans like this.
