thats another thing i had a spare of - but its custom made for my model ..which is probably about 4X the size of what you have .. at least - otherwise you could just have it ..

this is what mine looks like - i can barely carry it by myself .. and i can carry a lot. It's well over 100 pounds ..

yeah there are pluses and minuses ...

my projector is great - especially for free - but once it breaks - it's end of story - unless i can get a couple of good units made from the parts of the 4 or 5 that i have.

the picture is great though - it's an RGB so it has more warmth and depth than the single lens models ..

(it was worth $1000's when it was new back in the early 80's)

I'm really looking forward to getting this thing set up. But like i said it will be mostly for movies. The damn bulbs are about $150 to replace but your suppose to get about 5000 hrs out of one.
The wife won't be watching american idol on this, thats fer sure.

Star Wars- Empire Strikes Back

some friends and I were debating over which Star Wars film was the best and I thought it was pretty obvious that it was Empire Strikes Back. It's four of us(we completely discarded the one guy that said Return of the Jedi) I said Empire Strikes Back and the other two said Revenge of the Sith, so with Revenge of the Sith still vivid in my memory I watched Empire Strikes Back and decided to stick with my decision. It's clearly the best film of the entire series I don't even know why I doubted it.

Why'd ya dismiss RotJ? I agree with you on Empire being the best, but thought Jedi wsa a close second. Oh well, to each his own;) :p

It was a pretty good movie but it didn't have the same quality as the first two(for me anyway), and the ending really didn't do it for me Harrison Ford put it best imo when he referred to it as the ''teddy bear picnic''.

100% behind you on this ...

by ROTJ he had realized the marketing potential of toys and made it a joke.

i believe i read somewhere (correct me if i'm wrong) that the ewoks or whatever fuck they are were origionally supposed to be a lot yougher - meaner looking - instead of those buck tooth muppets ..

and the name - as everyone knows - was origionally supposed to be revenge - not return.

lucas knew/knows where his money is coming from.
