Gotta love tremors. And it's sequels! Although I haven't seen the forth one

Elvis_Christ 03-26-2008 05:14 AM

Tremors hasn't dated well... saw the first sequel and thought it was average.

One of those rare scenes, which are sorely lacking these days, that actually sends shivers down the spine.
Of course BIG screen and surround sound are required for ultimate effect.:D

also one of the rare movies where the director had the balls to build a scene up this way too.

most people probably squirmed in their chairs waiting for a car chase.

Like murderdoll :p)

For sure, the original kicked my ass on the big screen when it was re-released a few years back. The sound effects were really creepy made me appreciate the flick a lot more.

Tremors.....

_____V_____ 03-26-2008 11:22 AM

And Tremors tames some fighting resistance from Exorcist III before securing a slightly tough 9-4 win!!

This completes Round 2, which had some REAL shocking upsets, such as Army of Darkness, The Silence of the Lambs, Darkman and Exorcist III...among others.

Round 3 of this very interesting tournament starts in a min...

It's a thriller with horror elements, sure. But I would consider The Frighteners a comedy with horror elements. Like Ghostbusters. I wouldn't put either in a strict horror category, but Cape Fear is scarier.

i know - it's my own internal system - what makes sense to me i guess.
anything with a supernatural element i classify as horror (but i keep horror/fantasy/sci-fi together)

but things like silence of the lambs, se7en, cape fear, etc .. i keep with crime drama/thrillers

don't know why - its just how i naturally sorted things
