Invincible - really liked this one - great story.

Night at the museum - getting a bit tired of ben stiller's shtick - but still a very entertaining fun flick.

he wont win any oscars - but he wont let you down either .. delivered what the part called for.

The_Return 12-26-2006 07:16 PM

I though Invincible was pretty cliché...I didnt mind it, wasnt really a bad flick or anything, just really predictable. Atleast it was better than Gridiron Gang...

Office Space

An all-time favourite of mine...one of the top 3 funniest movies ever made IMO.

_____V_____ 12-26-2006 09:04 PM

The Stepford Wives. 04/10

With such an excellent cast, I thought they could have made the movie a bit more interesting. Walken was wasted IMO. Midler and Close were the only good parts of an otherwise dull movie.

Cube Zero. 06/10

I havent watched any of the Cube movies before this, so this was my first. Interesting and intriguing in parts...nice effects.

Are the others any good? Do I need to hunt em down?

http://www.solaceincinema.com/wp-con...%20(Small).jpg

looks incredible.

Roderick Usher 12-26-2006 09:28 PM

Jet Li's Fearless

nothing new... some odd pacing issues, but really fun. the kids loved it.

1beastieibe 12-26-2006 09:48 PM

City of Lost Children

Very strange, It wasn't what I was expecting, but I liked it. It's one of those movies you have to watch a few times to get the message it's portraying.

Gone With the Wind (1939)

Pure. Cinema. Magic.

paws the great 12-26-2006 10:21 PM

The first one is definately worth it...the second one has some interesting effects and headfuck kinda stuff, but doesn't touch on the greatness of the first one, which you should be able to find pretty cheaply.

I last watched the last 45 minutes of so of "eulogy".
Nothing GREAT about it, but it's a pretty decent kinda comedy/drama with some solid performances. Manages to evoke some chuckles every time.

watched this on christmas night with the GF and the family. looked fucking AWESOME on my moms 45 inch bravia. fuck i need one of those. Really good movie tho, it would be easy to shred it a bit, but its overall entertainment factor made me say fuck it, it was just a nice movie in the end.

Creature From The Black Lagoon.

the_real_linda 12-27-2006 04:55 PM

the never ending story....which got annoying wen my sis was singing thru it....and making badges and my mother kept asking stuff like "hos is fantasia still there if he's the only kid reading it?" and "does it look like that becasue he imagines it like that?" and "how is he in a story, like is he in the film and the real thing is about us watching it?"

paws the great 12-27-2006 05:13 PM

The Black Dahlia (Brian De Palma)

The_Return 12-27-2006 06:22 PM

Big Trouble In Little China

Cool movie. The over-the-top / comic book style got on my nerves at times, but for the most part I really enjoyed it.

urgeok 12-27-2006 07:13 PM

Raging Bull

Oh my god what an amazing film. De Niro didnt win an oscar for nothing. His performance is outstanding. this film was full of emotion. it definetly deserves a spot in my top 100

what did you all think about it?

alkytrio666 12-27-2006 10:25 PM

Mean Streets (1973)

Raw, gritty, and bizarrely real feeling. Early Scorsese trademarks in this one.

The Good Shepherd (2006)

Good entertainment, solid performances. It was a relaxing way to spend my evening tonight.

Mortuary. 06/10

Watchable, could have been better.

Forest of the Damned. 02/10

Man what a waste of my time!

Rise of the Undead. 05/10

Average, some entertainment in parts.

Sometimes methinks high expectations could be bad. Blame Argento, Romero, et al for that.

phantomstranger 12-28-2006 01:03 AM

The Adventures Of Brisco County Jr : pilot movie

bwind22 12-28-2006 01:20 AM

Well, the holidays have kept me busy & I didn't get to see as many movies as normal over the past week-week and a half.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

This is probably tied with Vegas Vacation as my 2nd favorite in the franchise (Behind the original). Well acted, funny and most importantly, it withstands the test of time because it's still funny after dozens of viewings over the years.

B+

A Christmas Story

A classic, and for good reason. It's a holiday season must see for anyone that hasn't seen it. Good, clean fun for the whole family (and an all-around GREAT film to boot.)

A

I also just finished re-watching Entourage Season 1 (A-) and I am in the middle of watching Rome (Just finished disc 2.)

Next movies on deck: Dead Meat (Fangoria) & Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 07:43 AM.
