Felon (2008). The start of this movie begets an ambiguous sense of its worth. The shaky camera, the typical :things gone horribly wrong" scenario, and then the downward spiral all hint that it is time wasted. Suddenly, all of that evaporates and instead the screen's glue jumps out and ensnares the viewer until the final scene, leaving us emotionally drained but satisfied nonetheless. The story, which must have been taken from the real life Corcoran State Prison fiasco, provides the perfect palate for a study of the American Penal system. While the stereotypes of prisoners and guards etcetera are evident, the main characters are all portrayed as normals humans, at least at some point in their lives. The acting was pheno, with Dorff, Kilmer, and Perrineau all giving outstanding performances. The script was smart, the direction superb. Once the camera calmed down it became icing to our visual cake. The story was a tad heavy-handed as to its message, but in this case maybe it needs to be. Merci beaucoup.

Spring Break Massacre-shockingly bad:eek:

Brooklyns Finest-great cop movie. Intersecting stories, great actors, director Antoine Faqua hits one out of the park:D

Haha I'm totally gonna watch this. I really enjoyed Death Racers. Don't like their music but their movies are hilariously SHIT.

It definitely wasn't as good as the last Rambo flick but I dug it. Mickey Rourke stole the show I thought and needed to be in it more.

Ditto and will love to see a sequel with action stars who missed this first venture like Russel, Seagal, Vam Damme & Wesley Snipes. :)
