All I can say is that it has one of the most disturbing barroom scenes I've seen in a movie in...well, forever.

i really wanna see this flick.

Lady Vengeance was the last one i saw. Pretty fuken cool when its all said and done. Still not Oldboy tho.

I just watched 'V For Vendetta' for the first time last night. I went into it cold, with no expectations and ended up enjoying the hell out of it.

Clerks II

man, what a disappointment.
mainly because of one thing ... the kid working at moobys .. what a scene killer .. horrible horrible horrible performance. why it was left in is beyond me.
Randal works better in black and white too .. he just wasnt effective in this (except the dramatic parts where he was actually pretty good)

Jay was the highlight as usual - the guy can do no wrong.
Also the 'boss' of Moobys - she was fantastic.

1st Kevin Smith film i havent liked.

I'd love to see Jay and Silent Bob continue - a la abbot and costello..

Jay and Silent bob meet th wolfman, etc ..

Aliens .

the_real_linda 12-04-2006 07:57 AM

i liked clerks 2.....cool to see the alias dude and jason lee in it.....but it was too...i dont know...just too ooh look at us.....same old stuff....after clerks and the animated series....theres only so much.....but i still like it....more jay and silent bob would be good and other cameos perhaps and less of that teen kid....

i watched "whatever happened to baby jane?"......i loved it.....she was psychotic.....wow...great film

Fishing with John

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. as long as you have super dry humour. Like kindling dry.

Disease 12-04-2006 02:30 PM

Suburbia, the Richard linklater one, I hadn't seen this for a while and my girlfriend had never seen it so I dug it out of the cubard, It's faded with time for me though......

6/10

I used to love that movie. I'd like to see it done as the stage show. Talk Radio was a rad flick aswell.

That movie--good movie! But what a depressing experience!! I took a friend to see that when it was in its brief theatrical run. We were expecting something just slightly more upbeat, and WHEW! Not a happy-go-lucky movie.

one and the same. i crashed at a buddies the other night and we watched this hungover the next morning. man it hurts to laugh when youre hung over sometimes. i was actually boggled that i had never heard anything about it, especially since Dafoe and Hopper are involved. Gonna have to pick up the DVD just cause it seems like the kinda thing flick that never has much time to gather dust on the shelf.

Body Melt

If you dont have anything nice to say, dont say it at all. That's all you'll hear from me about this "movie"

The Mothman 12-04-2006 08:05 PM

Hard Candy

pretty damn good film. Oscar-worthy preformances, especially from the pedaphile. Well directed with good cinematography, but the concept of a 14 year old pedaphile professional assasin was kinda far fetched. Anyways. preformances made up for it all.

I am saddened by your review. However, I am ecstatic that I may have had something to do with garnering this cinematic masterpiece additional viewings!!!

sounds like the kind of movie i woulod enjoy. reviews say its like a mox between a peter jackson and a cronenberg film.

The_Return 12-05-2006 04:01 AM

I'll give Body Melt this: It had some pretty good gore. Too bad that wasnt enough to save it from its piss-poor plot and awful characters.

Note to the makers of Body Melt: A little continuity can go a long way.

Oldboy

Finally got to watch this movie. Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. The hallway scene was one of the best pieces of cinema I've seen in a long time.

Madagascar

Pleasantly surprised. Especially since Ben Stiller, David Schwimmer & Chris Rock all usually annoy the hell out of me. Got a few laughs out of it.
