White Chicks. A lot funnier than I had thought it would be. Not a good film particularly, but good for a laugh.

Totally rules. I need to get around to picking up the Blue Underground disc of that.

Tokyo Gore Police

Enjoyed this way more than the first time round, I don't think I was in the mood for something as OTT as this film. I'm reviewing Robogeisha soon so I wanted to watch a bunch of these crazy assed flicks and get up to speed.

Green Street Hooligans

I liked this, not something I'd go out and buy but it was an entertaining watch. What's the sequel like? It's set in jail isn't it? Might check it out next time I'm at the store.

Revanche (2008). Doubly defined as revenge or second chance, the flow of Revanche refuses the denouement thoughout. A wonderful contrast of opposites, city versus country, upright versus thuggery and depravity, metropolitan versus peasant, this becomes an existential study more of similarities than differences. The story itself was a coincidental treat, dark and brooding though it was. The acting was phenomenal, the characters curiously interesting. Even the dialog exuded that hard to define essence, unconcocted maybe. The direction was sublime, with camera shots that infused the viewer with an almost ethereal sensation. Simply a wonderfully authentic tale set Eastern Europe. Ashe.

Dark Knight (2008)
http://www.planetvideo.com.au/blog/2...ark_knight.jpg Great movie, never seen Batman Begins so I better get on that. Some things I found interesting about this movie in particular when comparing the characters from "The Batman universe", Batman comics from the 1940's. Harvey Dent also known as "Two-Face" was originally named "Harvey Kent" (Read Batman Chronicles volume 5-7 in one of those graphic novels, they had a published "Detective Comics" issue of where Two-Face is introduced to readers, his story is different in the Dark Knight than it was originally.

For Example;

Original Story:
Harvey Kent's face was utterly scarred when an angered defendant threw a vial of acid in his face, his spouse left him because of his ugliness. He then devoted his life to crime, by 50/50 chance, using a coin to determine one's fate.

Dark Knight:
Harvey Dent, Gotham City district Attorney. the one that Bruce Wayne wants to take over for him one day. Has a soon to be wife, Rachel who is also Bruce Wayne's oldest friend. they are both captured and only one can survive, they reach him before they get to her and his face is burned by gasoline, he then becomes Two-face, DA gone mad.

Just something I found interesting. :P

"The Human Centipede" 4/10

Sure, the idea is gross, but you don't really get to see a whole lot. So all in all.... blah..

The story moved very, very slowly. Probably because there wasn't a whole lot in it. Just this idea. the centipede. But it was like the director only had this 1 sick idea, but really didn't have a clue how to wrap a good story around it.

The ending was clever tho, in a fun/cruel way.

One of those movies where the most annoying people are the victims. Especially the 2 females were both bad actors and really annoying listening to. Which could explain...

I haven't heard many good reviews of this movie, but I feel like I have to see it just the same.
It's on my NetFlix queue, just waiting for it to become available.
