I find it sad that you can't believe someone has a different opinion.
Who cares if he loves that movie. It's his right.
Same thing with music. One man's trash is another man's treasure.

Well, your Highness, not everyone shares your opinion. It's one of my favorite horror movies. Only person that's going to change that is myself, and unless there are 9 other movies that I think are better, it's not going to change for a while.

I liked Brenton Thwaites. It was the first movie I saw him in. He was also in Maleficent, which I didn't like at all, and he was also in The Signal. He was better in The Signal IMO.

How about instead of getting offended and sarcastic you defend the movie and sell me on its merits. You think it's good for a reason. Come on debate me

I thought the whole point of this place was to talk about and debate movies? I stated why i dont like it, he should state why he doesnt.

I thought the movie had a really interesting plot, rather than just becoming "Mirrors 3", and the two alternating timelines made it even more interesting. The mirror was also set up as a pretty cool antagonist since it's very powerful and dark looking, yet it is vulnerable, as shown in the ending. The acting was also good from everyone, although I don't really expect anything else from the actors involved. The movie also had great cinematography to accent its creepy atmosphere.

STIR OF ECHOES (1999)-Really liked the Richard Matheson book and was looking forward to this. Curious as to why the need was felt to make so many changes and throw in so many THE SIXTH SENSE/THE SHINING homages. Worth seeing, but really could have been a lot better. **1/2
Did like the clips from THE MUMMY'S SHROUD and NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD the little boy is watching on TV (maybe he's a HORROR.COM forum member now?) and the babysitter reading Matheson's THE SHRINKING MAN

Pseudo Found footage film that is riddled with cliches, bad acting and a plot that runs by the numbers. Considering this, i liked it more that I should. That kid from the Inbetweeners puts in an embarrassing performance.

I think ChronoGrl might like it though...

Recently saw the trailer for this one... Looked potentially silly but I'll give any Found Footage a try. ::cool::

The plot was different from Mirrors and honestly i found the plot better. I disagree about the acting. Karen Gillan seemed so methodical like she wasn't even trying. I didn't find it creepy at all and the jumping around in time made it hard for me to connect to the story or the characters.

That's why I said I'm glad it wasn't just "Mirrors 3". I didn't like Mirrors because that was so tonally inconsistent. How did the two storylines make it "hard to connect to the characters"?
