I have to admit I am impressed. A really fresh approach and idea, nicely scripted and directed, believable characters and a very creepy setting.

My only gripe (and POSSIBLE HUGE SPOILERS) is how the heck did she learn to shoot so accurately??

Ditto. I have seen it few months ago & already recommended on last year's one of the top 10 horror films thread. A pretty well crafted circular plot indeed. George on the lead did a fine job also.

Regarding your spoiler note, I think on a creepy & weird situation like that--when everything is happening out of order at least something should click right,;)

Blood & Black Lace (1964)

Just for curiosity after watching this Bava's jewel on the crown, I was thinking have I seen any Giallo Spoof so far? And I couldn't remember any comedy that made about Giallo genre! Is there really any Giallo-spoof film actually been made? If there's any watchable ones, then please recommend me.

At the moment I'm trying to 'develop' a plot where the killer wears Black Burqa, black sunglasses & as usually black gloves & only likes to kill the nude models. The detective who is trying to solving the case is a great fan of Giallo films & start to suspect a reporter who's got some Giallo films in his collection that the detective even haven't seen yet. Later at the end, it reveals that all the murders were actually happened for a rare & stolen Giallo dvd that someone bought online.:D

Other than that, this is one modern times movie which has left an impression on me. The gripe aside, this one's good enough to get a solid 07/10, and my rec to all my friends here - Fort, Chrono, Return, Roshiq, Newb, NE, Psycho_d, Straker...see if you can pick this up.

* * * ½ stars.

This is from the guy who wrote/ directed Severance and Creep, isnt it? I've found both of those to be a bit hit and miss. Some nice elements to both of those, but they are weak in alot of areas too. Sounds like he might be getting it right now though. Will definatley have to give it a watch sometime soon.

Nope, can't say that I have...I adore comics, but have a real hard time keeping up with newer stuff. Honestly, I hadn't even heard much about them until the movie came out. Worth checking out, I presume?

Yay! Great film. And I'd watch your giallo-spoof.

And V, I've added Triangle to my Netflix queue. Thanks for the rec, buddy.

A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985)

Absolute weakest film in the series.

No doubt about that VC.

Just watched The Offspring 2009

Complete waste of my time.I dont have anything bad to say about the writing, primarily because the acting was so horrible it would have stunk up a work by Shakespeare.Unconvincing performances from top to bottom..and is it too much to ask for an actor to actually APPEAR frightened when they are supposed to be? I am lost to any movie when I see men and women attempt to portray sheer terror and come of looking only slightly bewildered.

A must see no doubt. Great execution and dark dark dark.

Duck, You Sucker AKA A Fistful of Dynamite (1971). Sergio Leone may have just outdone himself with this film. A pooper at the box office, this is truly one of Leone's finest films. I must admit that it threatened to be otherwise, and about 1/3 of the way through it seemed to lose momentum. Looking back, it was only shifting gears from that of fun and silly entertainment to that of a serious movie making a profound statement. The acting was awesome, and Coburn's impressive skills were only overshadowed by a magnificent performance by Rod Steiger. Ernio Morricone's score brilliantly lent an emotional overtone, especially during the flashbacks that both gave answers and led to more questions. Duck, You Sucker is a perfect example of the coming of age of an ingenious director... Merci beaucoup.
