I actually thought the remake was trashy fun, too. It's soooo stupid, but they knew it making it.

Cool mix of Frankenstein and Robocop that I thought was a entertaining watch. I've said it about a million times but not much beats flicks from the 80s. Pam Grier starred as a badassed henchwoman too. Yep, great stuff.

The Mist
I thought some of the monster designs were really awe-inspiring and the ending was pretty depressing.

Agree with Disease & V. Didn't like the remake also. The twist at the end of the remake was easily predictable but more than that the killer's reason for all the killings was very funny & ridiculous. On the other hand the original was as V said, time passing typical 80's slasher.

I have to admit I am impressed. A really fresh approach and idea, nicely scripted and directed, believable characters and a very creepy setting.

My only gripe (and POSSIBLE HUGE SPOILERS) is how the heck did she learn to shoot so accurately??

Other than that, this is one modern times movie which has left an impression on me. The gripe aside, this one's good enough to get a solid 07/10, and my rec to all my friends here - Fort, Chrono, Return, Roshiq, Newb, NE, Psycho_d, Straker...see if you can pick this up.
