Haha- I love Killer Tomatoes. Not the least of its charms is the bizarre soundtrack. I paid to see this in the theatre- TWICE.

"Angel Town" 3-4/10

Completely forgot how long and dull this movie was. Even the many fight scenes were a bore.

The Children (2008). This wonderfully creepy flick begins innocently enough, but then an ineffable atmosphere of doom slowly creeps in to dominate everything. Even worse, kids and adults alike act and react in a surprisingly realistic fashion. The foreboding sense of doom just keeps building and building until it is too late; the worst imaginable possibility has become a reality. Great acting, wickedly superb camera work, and some confident direction makes this a delightfully awful treat. Mercie beaucoup.

Brazil-

This time with my bf, and also sober. What. A. Mindfuck. I hate those stupid baby face masks so very much.

Love absolutely everything else though. Especially the way they make everything look like the 1940's; film noir style, art deco everything. Yet it's also quite futuristic. Is there a word for/genre of making the past look like the future. If so I want more.

Great movie. 4/5 for being a bit long.

Shutter Island (2010)

Incredible stuff...no way that I can sum it up as wonderfully as Fort and Alky though. All I'm going to say is see it, immediately.

Ah, yes. I'm so glad you liked it. Can't wait to see it again. I really think it's going to be one of those that improves on repeat viewings.
