Fuck charming.

Once in the 90s Jim used to own every movie he was in.

He doesn't anymore. Now it's the other way arround. Now he's adapting.

Most people may apreciate that. I miss the old hilarious Carrey. :(

An absolutely brilliant low-budget creature feature romp. They definitely got a lot out of what was obviously a tight budget. The special effects looked pretty good, and the writing and acting were great. I had a blast with this. If you enjoy movies like Eight Legged Freaks or Slither, you'll enjoy this one. Plus, Ray Wise makes an appearance, which is awesome.

HIGHLY recommended.

4.75/5.

Will have to check this one out sounds great. I rewatched Slither recently and loved it so if its anywhere near as good I'll be happy.

Looks like I'm one of the few folk to dig Halloween II :) One of my top picks of 2009.

Sayat Nova (Color of Pomegranates) (1968)

The story of Armenian poet/ashik Sayat Nova, told through a series of incredible, gorgeous tableaux vivants. Completely serene and mesmerizing.

Get Shorty & Barton Fink

Really a very interesting double feature- two films set in Hollywood. Get Shorty is hilarious with a fabulous cast.

Barton Fink is a bizarre surreal dream with two brilliant performances- John Turturro (I've always loved this guy) and John Goodman.

Everybody's Fine (2009)

A bittersweet family drama where De Niro gives a heart-wrenching performance.

"Eden log" 3/10

Dull, dull, dull...

Crazy Eights

I liked it at the beginning. Thought it was well acted & directed... then it got bogged down in the "smart people doing stupid things they know they shouldn't" syndrome and I lost interest.

Kilshot (2008). This thriller had potential that never fully materialized. Mickey Rourke and Joseph Gorden-Levitt's performances were pretty darn good. Overall the acting was fine, but the story itself was sorta thin. The camera work was enjoyable as well. If nothing else is on and this is available then it is definitely worth a watch, but i would not put something else off to see this one. Mercie beaucoup.

Session 9 Not my first watch, first time I've seen the deleted scenes. Glad they never made the final cut.... Quality film though, acting is great and the atmosphere is perfect.

"The shortcut" 6/10

Sure took some time to get started, but it was never boring.
