Just finished Cabal by Clive Barker. I just started on the Venus Complex by Barbie Wilde.

I'm reading 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea right now. I'm on chapter 10 of part 2.

RED by Jack Ketchum. Pretty good story of an old man whose dog is killed and his attempts to seek some sort of justice/closure. Ketchum is a good writer, but he can be incredibly sadistic (THE GIRL NEXT DOOR, OFF SEASON) and a lot of his books seem to have gun toting rampages towards the end.
So far liking this...

THE OTHER SIDE proved to be a perfect Halloween read. Highly recommended.

THE BEAST WITHIN-Edward Levy. Really good past paced story from the early 80's. Borrows a LOT from CURSE OF THE WEREWOLF (1961), but still well worth giving a look. Levy's ALONG CAME A SPIDER is also worth checking out.
The 1982 movie of the same name veers way far from the book and is pretty much not worth seeing.

Just got back from visiting Brother and his family in Kansas City Mo. Raided his bookshelf to read some old favorites and read THE HOWLING 2 by Gary Brandner. Quick easy/cheesy read with hot Marcia using her wowee factor on everyone for her own devious means.
Pretty bad, but enjoyable and have heard the book is a masterpiece compared to the film of the same name.

My novel for Halloween this year about a house which may or may not be haunted, may or may not have committed murder.
