Thankskilling, reminds me of Lost Skeleton of Cadavra, so, so bad, but on purpose.

The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, & Her Lover (1989)

One of Greenaway's absolute masterpieces. His work in the 80s is just incredible.

After watching THE LAST WINTER (a decent paranoia isolation horror diected by Larry Fessenden) I checked out Habit (an earlier film by the same director)..

This is a really good low budget indie vamp movie much in the vein (LOL) of Martin or Abel Ferrara Addiction.

It stars Larry Fessenden as a New Yawk hipster who falls foul to a cutie dykie vampire..

Great locations, script and characters let down only by the less than strong acting abilities of the secondary cast. Fessenden himself is excellent in the lead role...

The film isn't limited by its obvious low budget but those expecting a typical vampire film will be soley dissapointed..

It is also suprisingly Wendigo free!!

Nothing better than to spend a chilly Sunday afternoon with one of Leone's best. The wonderful soundtrack by Ennio Morricone, powerful rib-tickling performances by both Fonda and Terence Hill (surprisingly!), and some breathtaking cinematography ever seen in a western, lensed by the superb eye of Ruzzolini. It's one of the best westerns ever made, and it combines the classic western setting with a story which has a nice deviation of the genre.

Highly recommended to Alky, Return, Dante, Fort, NE, Newb, Derek, Rod and everyone else who is a big fan of Leone's Eastwood trilogy. Don't miss this.

I didn't even know the sequel came out, and wasn't it supposed to get a theatrical release, wonder what happened there.

The last movie I watched was "This is England", it seems to me every few years a nation makes a movie about skinheads, for example:

Early '90s, Australia: Romper Stomper

Approx. late '90s, USA: American History X

2K6, Britain: This Is England

Anyone know of any others?

Went to see Legion with my bf last night. It was like an hour and a half long, and could have been summed up in 15 minutes which really kinda of made me feel ripped off. We are hoping for a sequel to tie up some plot holes and answer questions.

Paul Bettany was amazing though. I would like to see him in some Clive Owen type action films because he can pull off being a bad ass really well, and h e can actually act.

Supposedly Legion is set to be a trilogy, I don't see that happening, and anyway, IMHO, they ripped off a lot from the movie Gabriel, while adding a lot of their own stuff.

Yeah, we figured they had sequels planned, but honestly competing with Avatar had to kill their box-office take in. So I don't see sequels happening either.

Zombieland--what a fun flick. I'm sure horror purists were appalled, but I thought it was a riot.
