Killing Zoe (1993).From the opening credits rushing about the city of Paris, it is obvious that this flick might just be a good one. From the steamy hotel scene to the drug rampage, it soon becomes clear that this flick steps into the fringe and threatens to stay there. The cinematography was awesome. Whether it was depicting the splatter of violence or the hallucinations from a literal smorgasbord of drugs, the viewer almost gets to experience the scenes as if present. The acting was strong with Eric Stoltz strong as ever. Jean-Hughues Anglade killed his part in all the right ways, topping it off with the sublimely casual cigarette magic trick. The direction was strong as well. Overall. a great movie experience for those that appreciate drug infested psychotic rages. Ashe.

 Lake Mungo (2008)
http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/8005/lakemungo1.jpg Not scary at all, but this mocumentary from Australia (start to end it's full with only interviews, Ghostly photos & few cell phone vdos) is a decent & new addition for After Dark Horrorfest 4. But I didn't get why there will be a US remake of it?? Does Australian English hard to follow for the Americans?!:D >>: B- Sherlock Holmes (2009) http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/8...lockholmes.jpg Highly entertaining. Mark Strong was nice in the villain role but I think he can also be a good choice to play Holmes for a conventional adaptation. >>: A- |

IFC Canada is having Zombie week for anyone interested. Last night I watched NOTLD (1990) and 28 Weeks Later. I actually enjoyed Tony Todd as Ben.
Also last night I watched Suspiria on tv cause my dvd is loaned to a friend. The dubbed version is less than nice. |
