West

It's a story about living in Western Sydney which isn't a very interesting thing in the first place.
But it holds up as a decent drama.

Inglorious Basterds (2009). Tarantino has yet to disappoint. Ashe.

A fantastic way to spend a cold Sunday afternoon, together with hot ginger tea and deliciously hot pakoras.

The Children

Fantastic little indie horror film. Definitely captures a mood of threat and horror. Well-written, directed, and acted. I was definitely impressed at how successful the film was at creating a threat out of the kids involved. One of my favorite movies of 2009. Highly recommended.

The Objective – A decently interesting UFO thriller by Blair Witch director Daniel Myrick. It drags a bit in the middle, and doesn’t really pay off at the end, but it’s not a terrible journey.

Ready When You Are, Mr. McGill

A funny look at a fictional film set starring Bill Nighy. A good watch, but a lot of references to British television culture may leave some American viewers feeling a bit stranded.

The Other Side

Definitely low-budget and definitely enjoyable. The ending is a little Scooby Doo and silly, but hats off to the director, writer, and actors for pulling it off. Definitely fun. Loved the concept as well. This is the kind of thing that real indie horror movies should be made off.
