Gonna have to try some more of there brews

Yeah, exactly. It's a really smooth porter. Glad you dug it! Once September rolls around, you must try and get a hold of their Breakfast Stout. It will knock you back. Definitely one of the richest, most flavorful beers I've ever had.
Like I said, I have yet to be disappointed by any of their brews. The Founders brewery is about a 3 hour or so drive from me, too. Hmmmm

Beer dinner tonight at my tavern. We do it every 6 weeks. This one is featuring the brewery Brasserie DuPont. A true Belgian brewery and makers of Saison DuPont. One of the best beers in the world, with the credentials to prove it. We literally had to have one of the beers shipped to us from the brewery in Belgian itself. Not even sure of the name of it yet. Wish i wasnt working it and i could sit, eat, and drink. Fat and Happy.......

At home having a few white russians, might head to a gig later on, where it will be coopers on tap for the rest of the night.

fortunato 06-23-2012 05:37 PM

Had an Eliot Ness on tap at a local burger joint. Deee-licious.
Eliot Ness is one of my all-time favorite ambers, so I was really pumped to have it draught. I'll definitely be going back, for the beer if nothing else.

My aunt bought the priest of the church that my family attends, a bottle of Ménage à Trois for Christmas. He was not amused.

That's a shame if he didn't drink it - it's a very good wine.

I'm looking after both kids (4&2 y.o.) with a 1500ml of Krombacher and a bottle of Errazuriz Merlot hangover. What the f**K was I thinking?

It seemed like a good idea when I was settling down to watch Raiders of the Lost Ark. Not so good with a Sponge Bob marathon.

I saw the Sam Adams Octoberfest while I was at the store tonight; I'm grabbing that next.

This is happening a lot with many drinks in the UK-it's strangely now ok for pubs to water down their ale. I've unfortunately had to go teetotal but I don't miss the disappointment of getting poor quality booze in local pubs. Even the guiness tastes shit now.

Atraxi 08-12-2012 04:41 PM

Samuel Adams Octoberfest- so far I'm really liking it. No weird aftertaste that I occasionally get from Sam Adams.

I actually started seeing it out about a couple weeks ago! I grabbed the last 6 pack tonight so they're already flying off the shelves. I even saw a 12 pack in my neighbors truck on the way there. Anyway, definitely recommended.

I'm waiting for the pumpkin Woodchuck to come out.

fortunato 08-13-2012 09:14 AM

Can't wait for the fall brews to start coming out. Eh, newb?

BTW, good to see you, fortunato!
