Comment from IMDB:

"For a movie I haven't seen in 10 or 20 years, and one that I disliked on its initial release, THE OTHER sure has stuck with me. It is a low-budget, low-key retelling of a psychological horror novel by actor-turned-writer Tom Tryon, and it is pretty darned faithful to its source material. The twins playing the murderous kid are terrific, and veteran thesp Uta Hagen is a standout as the grandma. It used to run on TV a lot. Now it is a "lost" classic. See it if you can. There is a cellar sequence, of which I will say no more other than that it is key to the whole plot, that is sure to scare the pants off even the most hardened horror film fan."

SOLD!!!

Paranormal Activity.
I don't care how many endings it had...for those who saw it in a noisy cinema, you might find on dvd viewings, it wasn't spoiled by that.
Did not like.

Alice in Wonderland - the ol' animated one.
Saw this as I heard that the "new" one is something of a sequel of sorts, so thought I'd freshen up a tad.
Yknow...this is a pretty damn good animated film no matter what spin you put on it, great animation, some of the strangest dialogue that has ways of getting so nonsensical that it starts making sense again, REALLY good background/scenery art, a fantasy classic for sure. And yknow what? I couldn't remember them, but I actually thought the songs were pretty good too.
Hard to believe it was made all the way back in '51...

The noisy theater is what sold it for me. I was more scared from people's nervous energy and screams, than I was by the plot or on screen jumps. I don't think I would like it on dvd at allll. But uhm.... do you think you could send me a file of the alternate endings? I'll give you my e-mail and everything, but I can't find them online and I'm curious about the original suicide ending.

Nah, I just heard about a few different alternate endings...didn't see any other'n the one I got...in which:
The guy hears her screaming and goes downstairs, she comes back up with blood on her carrying a knife, cops come in later and when she goes towards them holding the knife in a confused state they shoot her.
...I looked up some of the endings on youtube but all I found was a bunch of dickheads.

Is that a remake of the old 'Black Devil doll from hell'?
