Love this film, third or forth time Ive seen it now and it keeps getting better. Paddy Considine's finest role.

I'm a fan of this film too, however I found a lot of the accents a little hard to follow.

True. My guilty pleasure is you.

And, I can see the love. Chrono is too transparent.

You can definitely see through me. *smooches*

Elevator to the Gallows (1958). A masterpiece of French noir by first-time director Malle. The acting is superb, with steamy Moreau melting the screen brooding over her lover, the cool but luckless Ronet. The scene of her crossing the street was insane. Lino Ventura also gives a great if brief perfomance. With sparse dialogue, again this flick does what it is supposed to, show a story unfolding. And quite a story this was, with unforeseen coincidences, childish pranks, and luck culminating into that great ending. The dark atmosphere and camerawork are wonderful, with a score by Miles Davis that addded the perfect touches to an incredible film. Ashe.

I m glad you finally got to watch it. Do you have part 2 also? Thats a pretty decent follow-up to the original. Fairly enjoyable.
