Ah, this might be my favorite of the supposed trilogy.

Haha, you're absolutely right.

Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans (1927)

For a director like F.W. Murnau, who created a string of masterpieces throughout his career, it's hard to say what his ultimate masterwork might be.
I think this might be it, though. What Sunrise has above all others is a breathtaking simplicity, and with an unusual, terse love story it opens up an epic scope. Next to The Passion of Joan of Arc, it's my favorite silent film ever.

Jacob's Ladder. I can definately see why people say it was an inspiration for Silent Hill now. Thought the ending was a bit boring though.

Hey, you could do a lot worse. If you were looking forward to it, don't let me stop you from checking it out. That little review sounded more negative than I intended - it's not bad by any means, just nothing really special. It's got a bit of a poor-man's Blade Runner feel in a few scenes near the start...who knows, you might like it :)

Loved it. I would have watched the sequel too, had they made one. Nice companion piece to Hero and the Terror, IMO.

Aha, now you are trying to influence me by comparing it to Blade Runner. ;) :p

Nah...think I ll wait for the DVD. The sci-fi bracket this year has gone up several notches for me, because of District 9 and Pandorum. I dont wanna spoil that too much. :)
