I watched half of the bat but I fell asleep. It was ok.

Wolf Creek - I though it was ok, slooow buildup to the payoff.

I thought this movie was a POS...."based on true events"...who/how would anyone have known anything about any of that? The dude who supposedly survived was "out" the whole time...big dissappointment for me...the doll on a stick thing was pretty painful though :)

Watched TCM the beg Fri the 13th-loved it...watched The Cavern and May last night...both ...fair at best.

BudMan 10-15-2006 01:58 PM

Feast---8/10...lots of fun, good gore, a director to watch out for.

The Omen remake----3/10.....didn't like this at all, the original was sooo much better. Julia Stiles was very mis-cast.If you can't improve on a movie, why bother remaking it.

Underworld Evolution

This movie makes me feel like AVP did. Werewolves vs Vampires should be the most awesome geek-fest ever... but it just isn't.

The film isn't so much bad as uninspired. I didi like the DEMONS reference with the helicopter shot in the finale. Very silly film.

I didnt mind it...mindless, and not as good as #1, but somewhat entertaining.

This was the worst idea I ever had....to go see a PG-13 rated "horror" movie on Friday the 13th. And to top it off I didn't even like the the first one. As my boyfriend noteably put it, 'we may as well have went to the skating rink.' The place was PACKED full of screaming kids. And I MEAN SCREAMING! Every little thing that happened "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" from about 72 twelve year old girls. Talk about a headache. If I'd have had a gun, I would have given them something to really scream about:D
As for my opinion of the actual movie....Lame, 2/10. The acting was terrible, as well as the set-up.

HAHA...yep my 14yo daughter and three of her friends were in there...yelling, laughing screaming...that's why the wife and I were in another theater seeing TCM the Beginning...

Yeah that's the one.I wish it was the dvd version though.I heard Robert Englund does a commentary or something on it.

GoodFellas (1990)

What can I say? Probably the best mob movie ever, brilliant performances, gritty. Great movie.

hellfire1 10-15-2006 05:44 PM

Alphaville. After watching this, and also Contempt and Breathless in the past, I've come to the conclusion that I just don't dig Godard. Recommended only if you really, REALLY like French New Wave and science fiction.

alkytrio666 10-15-2006 08:39 PM

Akeelah and the Bee (2006)

A predictable but heartwarming film. Worth checking out, especially for you parents and your kids.

pinkfloyd45769 10-15-2006 08:51 PM

I watched Wolf Creek, better than i thought it would be.
I also watched Robo Cop 3:0)

horrorobsessed 10-15-2006 08:56 PM

just finished watching a Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original), yeah i love this movie...and well there was nothing to watch on tv. also, i was doing laundry and i have this habit of when i clean i watch horror movies, or Grease/Grease 2, weird i know.

9.5/10

bwind22 10-15-2006 09:51 PM

Ultraviolet

There was plenty of action in this futuristic vampire/virus film, but the problem was that it all felt so choreogrpahed that I may as well have been watching a dance recital. The plot was also unneccesarily confusing and the story just really wasn't all that interesting. It was okay, but nothing I'd recommend or ever bother to see again.

C-

House of 1000 Corpses

This is cool. Although I prefer Devils Rejects, this is still a pretty cool, dark piece of work. The acting is good, the story creepy. I remember thinking that this movie borrowed a lot from TCM, after watching it the first time, but upon another viewing I don't see that as much. Good directing, plenty of violence & gore and of course... Otis!

B

Dirty Pretty Things

I watched this not knowing much about it, but found it to be pretty good. It's a gritty story of a couple of immigrant hotel workers who stumble on to a bizarre murder scene. Well acted and a pretty cool plot. The one big flaw here is that all of the characters have a different accent so understanding what is being said can be a challenge. I actually watched it with sub-titles. All in all, this was a pretty cool film.

He does, but you're not missing much. For the most, it's just him complementing himself, and finding ways to relate every damn movie to NOES, so he can talk about himself some more.

It's kinda sad, really.

Dead and Breakfast.

Eminently enjoyable...nice dark humor.

BudMan 10-16-2006 06:28 AM

Watched 2 horror movies saturday night, so to be fair to the bride, I watched two chick flicks last night.

American Dreamz-----better than I expected

The Breakup------worse than I expected

The Mothman 10-16-2006 06:42 AM

Skinned Deep
5/10
pretty strange, yet atrocious horror movie.

Baby Blood
7/10
pretty solid horror film, with damn lots of blood.

The Roost
5.5/10
despite decent acting and good lighting. this was a pretty big let down. (i was expecting a gory film)

Bad Taste again

The Thing again

tremors II

wasnt as bad as i was expecting ... kind of fun.
My kid is hooked (so to speak) and now wants to watch all 4.

I can imagine with the absence of Fred Ward that these last 2 sequels are going to stink the place up.

I love all the Tremors... even the last super silly/cheese filled two. Don't know why either, maybe I'm just sick in the head.

The Flayed One 10-17-2006 07:07 AM

Valentine. I've had this movie for around 2 years now. Finally put it in. It's a servicable slasher.

Giner Snaps 2: Unleashed. Fucking love all of the Ginger Snaps movies. I hadn't seen this one in a year or so. Still love it.
