Maria (Metropolis, 1927) A multilayered figure, symbol meaning that goes well beyond a killing robot and a robot with heart. Maria intersects & joins the science, tech, political and metaphysical nexuses.

Thumb resize.

Wow, Maria has stormed back to TIE! We are going to have a three-way!!!

5+ days since the last vote was cast (by Chronogrl), and we are still stuck.

Need some more votes in here, folks!

horcrux2007 08-15-2014 04:30 AM

Idk if I count, but Maria because Metropolis. There should be no other reason.

Like hammerfan said above, you are a part of HDC's community so you have every right to vote in any/all tournaments.

And, thank you. We finally have a winner after almost 10 days!!

Maria - 5 (neverending, Horror4ever, Sculpt, Chronogrl, horcrux2007)
The Terminator - 3 (Anthropophagus, MichaelMyers, The Villain)
R2-D2 - 3 (hammerfan, roshiq, realdealblues)

Maria makes a huge comeback and pips both her more-fancy opponents to thunder into the GRAND FINALE!!

Tough one between HAL and Gort.

I'll go with Gort

Sculpt 08-15-2014 01:32 PM

Getting down to the wire with these...

Ash (Alien, 1979)

Between Ash and Hal, I'm voting Ash. Both Hal & Ash are sentient & seem to 'malfuction', debatable for both. To me Hal is straight human, high intel with immaturity & pride. Ash's personality is more complex, & yet also, strangely enough, is more computer-like in obeying his programming, and expresses his inability to possess compassion, keeping the key essence of being non-human (or robot/android/cyborg/AI), where Hal goes human in being afraid to die.
