I was thinking about going there this year. This weekend im heading to The Headless Horseman Haunted Hayride

I had a really good time when I went there a couple of years ago.

It's been a while for me too (well, we actually brought Ferret there when he was around but it was too late in the evening and too early in the season so everything was closed). ::sad::

I'm excited. The only thing that makes me nervous is that all of the attractions are expensive and most of them are crappy... We're just going to have to pick and choose what we do - Either way, just walking around and seeing all of the shops and getups is fun.

That was the most fun for me! Just walking around, window shopping, doing a little real shopping, having lunch.....it was fun!

We might end up going to Sleepy Hollow instead. My oldest daughter is gonna be Elsa from Frozen, my son is the red power ranger and my little one is a cat I think. I can't remember.

I'm going to this haunted house Grave Encounters kinda shit tomorrow called the 13th gate. I'm going with a few friends, and I've never been before. Should be interesting.

Also, how the hell do you pronounce "Joaquin" as in "Joaquin Phoenix"?

It's voted 2nd in the country. I'm going tomorrow and next Saturday.

I just got out of the 13th gate. I really liked it. I mostly got scared at the things that I initially didn't notice but was sort of an afterthought. As I misquote Fight Club, I didn't know that I saw it, but I did.

What's it like? Is it one big haunted house, or a series of attractions?

Around here's there's "Spooky World," which is really pretty lame... They have four or five haunted houses essentially where the "cast members" just come out and scream in your face. *sigh*

What about PLOT?? What about STORY?

There's a castle in Gloucester, about an hour or so from where I live... And a theater troupe does a haunted house there every year; it's fairly entertaining as they'll weave a "story around it" (one year there were a batch of ghost hunters who "got lost" in the castle... And each room had its own spooky theme. I'm not impressed with hooligans running up to me and yelling in my face... I want ATMOSPHERE. I really would love to design a haunted house and/or theme park...

Went to Salem today, which was a blast... Didn't do any of the silly attractions (didn't want to wait in line or spend the money) but it was fun walking around with the hubby... Plus I scored a hat and muskets to nearly complete my Halloween costume!
