So the original title of Angra's thread being "Have you bought your mask yet?", well yes, yes I have. Not a medical one. A woman in the town next to us makes them so i bought 3.

I hear a lot of people comparing this virus to other things that kill people. But few talk about how contagious this virus is. Honestly, no one in their right mind should want to risk getting this virus. I don't want a tube stuck down my throat. I would be scared if I lived in a closed area like an apartment with multiple people coming in and out. Along with possible strangers. But some feel that we have done enough in the United States. I'm waiting for Florida to blow up in cases since they are going to the beach again. People say the United States isn't China. But China understood it. Even if they are lying about their death numbers. Look at the graphs and United States is off the charts compared to China. And China is now using technology and testing in a way that we are seemingly unwilling and not setup to do. Even though I like my privacy and don't like the idea of needing to use tracking software to help contain something that should not have reached the United States at this level at all. |
So weirdly enough, I am sick. I have a few symptoms of covid or a cold. I really cant think of where i got either! One thing, no fever. So thats good. I do wear a mask when i pick up essentials but i dont sanitize my groceries when i get home.

Watched a how to make your own mask video using a handkerchief and two of those stretchy rings people use for their pony tails. Works pretty good but where can you find those stitched cloth masks everyone else is wearing. I sure can't sew.

I remove all items from boxes into another box before it gets in the house. Also, I now put juices in containers. Soap wash cans. Frozen pizza wrapped separately in slices in foil. Frozen fish, vegetables, fruits in separate plastic bags. I'm not playing around anymore. Outside clothes don't make it in either. In a bag and straight to the wash. Quote:

I just remembered one of my favorite movies when the news was talking about outbreaks in the jail. There is a line in the movie about people packed or crammed tight together and how they started the virus. I love this movie. |

But anyway, real problem in the United States. I knew it was in the air. But we now know to have a liar at the top of our government. Someone who doesn't care. Forget about shooting one person on the street. It will be 200,000 deaths soon. And even more than that in the future. |

Well I finally knew someone who caught and died of the virus. He had pre-existing conditions though.
Also, the man, as well as his wife, who didn't want to wear a mask and didn't help his fellow citizens by informing them, supposedly finally caught the virus. |

The people around him are liars too so you can't believe them either. Remember the White House Press Secretary just making up the FBI story. There are many other examples too. I would be honestly surprised if he doesn't survive whatever he claims to have. |
Well guys and girls, we are going to need more than a mask. We need everyone to wear them and perhaps shut down again. Cases are rising quickly. Deaths rise following the case rise. Some cities are doing early closing of stores. But still that's not enough.
The shutdown should have been in October when it was still fairly warm. We could have received stimulus and watched scary movies through the month. And that four week period, if handled right would have slowed the cases and virus. But we didn't and here we are headed to 200,000 cases if not more per day. |
