Well, I am a bit late to comment on Gunnar passing away. But I wanted to share that he was amazing both times that I met him. I was fortunate enough that when I met him the first time there wasn't a line. We chatted for a few minutes and I browsed his collection of pics at his table to be signed. I chose 2 that I thought were really cool, and he said that the 2 that I picked were his favorites. So I asked him to pick his favorite out of the 2 and he ended up signing that one. Maybe 2 hours later I felt somebody touch my elbow while I was looking at this Jaws exhibit. I looked up and Gunnar asked me by name if I was having a good time. He was so freaking nice!! I about shat myself!!

You made my day with this comment. My experience meeting him was just as pleasant and unforgetable. From the worlds most avid Texas Chainsaw Massacre fan, thanks for sharing that memory.

He had been battling a liver disease for some time.
