It has been awhile since my last Figure purchase, but i think the last Figure i bought is the 20 Inch Epic Gandalf from NECA, a beautiful piece with allot of detail on it. rather pricey tho, but worth every penny imo ;) looks amazing next to my 25inch Epic Balrog to. :D

Wow those are awesome toys, where can I find these type of figures at?? I really want one! :)

cheebacheeba 12-21-2013 12:09 AM

We've started collecting the kind of small figure/s you find in blind packs.

I have 4 dragons, some Mario figures, lots of Halo Megabloks guys, about 40.

I have an entire set of the 6 that marvel bought out.

Lego minifigs as well, been collecting randoms, and also we collaboratively purchased a whole box of one of the series with a friend, so we now each have a whole series.
I like these, I'd like to get them all.

I have some smurfs, both kinder-surprise ones, and some that came in blind packs.

We'll be collecting more of all of those, and anything else I guess.

ImmortalSlasher 12-30-2013 12:27 PM

There is a good Elvira figure/statue out that I might get. She's close to $300 and I'm not sure I like or even know enough about Elvira to get her.

CreepyCarrie 03-15-2014 10:35 AM

The last two I bought were the NECA Carrie action figures. I got them both for a great price at amazon. I've got them sitting on top of my book shelf. They're so cool. I love them!

tfantasy 08-07-2014 09:29 PM

Years ago, I bought the Freddy and Jason figurines and they are still in the original packages. I haven't decided if I want to buy anymore of them.

cheebacheeba 08-12-2014 01:42 AM

I bought a Spider-Man Robosapien second hand.
Bit of a stupid thing, doesn't do much...but, I suppose it's some kind of interesting item to have.

ImmortalSlasher 09-18-2014 04:42 PM

I think I might get a Hot Toys Terminator figure. Most Terminators seem to focus on the metal versions. But the new police shoot out version looks good with a normal and damaged versions of the Terminator.

scaryminda15 09-05-2015 02:22 PM

I got Chucky and Tiffany dolls at spencers

Bought a whole box of the latest (series 14) set of LEGO Minifigs.

Ended up with three complete sets and several leftovers.
Usually after holding on to one set ourselves we wait a bit down the line and sell the rest - they tend to go up in price.

This particular set was largely monster themed. Here's a picture of our complete set...not a great one, but it will give an idea.

Vodstok 10-06-2015 09:49 PM

I bought the Mystique and Captain Phasma Funko Pops this past weekend, and I just ordered the Alien and Cthulhu Pops

Toddallthingshorror 11-19-2015 08:32 PM

Got a mcfarlane t800 figure and a 6inch darth vader black series that I've been hunting.

Disconser 12-28-2015 02:57 PM

I got myself this little friend about a month ago. It was my first figure and I'm really happy with it. It's the Friday the 13th Part 6 – Clothed 8″ Action Figure – Jason from NECA.

So I most recently scored something very special to me. The brachiosaurus toy from Jurassic Park (I believe 3). I collect sauropods, and JP being one of my favorite movies and brachiosaurus being my favorite dinosaur, I was very excited to find it at a Goodwill.

Is that the " Friar Tuck " dino?

Great to hear someone else who digs JP3. I rank it just a notch below the original for entertainment value, and the pterodactyl design and effect is a blast! The cages and crap, oh man that's fun!

That's pachycephalosaurus. x3
Sauropods are (by Land Before Time terms) ''long-necks''. Brachiosaurus was the introduction to Jurassic Park for our heroes in the first film. And for CGI she was magnificent. ::love::

I found the 3rd about as good as the 2nd. The second had awesome dino dipictions, but people being stupid, while the 3rd was KINDA reversed. Their intentions may not have been smart but meant well, but there were a lot of flaws in the dino designs. Granted thanks to adding strands of frog genes and what not to the missing DNA codes, they are allowed to be more... mutated... then they most likely would have been. But even so, I don't see how they got spinosaurus at all the way they did when you know how it really lived.

socio-zombie 10-25-2016 01:45 PM

I recently bought a Series 3 "7 NECA "Cult Classics" Bubba-Ho-Tep Skeleton action figure. And a "7 McFarlane "Movie Maniacs"Series 4 Candyman action figure.
And another "Movie Maniacs" Wishmaster (Djinn) action figure!
But I seem to not have enough room on my shelf to display the movie posters that come with the figures.::shocked::

I've got that Jason one too. It's a great figure. I really like the ReAction series of toys they fit in well on the shelf with my 80s stuff.

Roiffalo 04-08-2017 02:06 PM

I like to put them on my wall. I have a Frankenstein's Monster from the series up there already that I got from a friend for my birthday last year. (don't remember if I mentioned it or not)

Elvis_Christ 04-08-2017 09:46 PM

I started out doing that but the glue on a lot of the blisterpacks is pretty shitty and they pop off the card after awhile.

Roiffalo 04-09-2017 11:56 AM

Hmm. Might have to gumband them down for good measure then. Thanks for the tip!

Not a horror, but I still love Rick and Morty!

cheebacheeba 01-14-2019 07:28 PM

Got some more POP things over the holidays.

For Christmas, I got the wife the current set of the (5) Fraggle Rock characters, and a Laura Palmer "Dead, wrapped in plastic".
I think there's been past editions of the Fraggle Rock stuff, I believe there's a dog I need to go back and collect for the set.
Does anyone open these?
I know that there's collectors boxes available.
The only one I've opened to keep among my other toys is Ludo from Labyrinth.

Since things were on sale, I got myself a double pack containing Booster Gold and the original (Ted Kord) Blue beetle.

Also got a few Monopoly sets, one Australian one, a "gamers" one, and a "cheaters edition".

Next up, buying the whole box of the next LEGO minifigs set, due out February.

Still continuing my "Build the Delorean" magazine/model collection, I think I'm only about half way done now...haven't been building anything.
Quality parts though it seems - and it is going to be quite a large model, it's 1/8th scale. But yeah...expensive in the end...like 2-3k expensive.

Morningriser 01-14-2019 08:24 PM

This is the first pop I have ever bought. At first I thought they were silly but then I started thinking that they would be cool to collect. I would love to have all of the Rick and Morty set but there are almost 60 of them if I'm not mistaken. My lawyer Morty was only $8 after shipping. There are a few more rare Rick and Morty pops that are a lot more expensive but I'm probably not even going to bother with them unless I become addicted or something. I noticed there are four Death Note pops so I want all of them. I really like L but I can't understand why there are two of him and not even one Misa Armani, I don't get it.

I got the Ash Williams Evil Dead Bloody Exclusive figure from Kotobukiya. The normal version doesn't have all the blood on her. The Exclusive is only available at Hot Topic.

They have a line of female, gender flipped at times horror characters. I probably didn't post about it here as there isn't that much talk about this sort of thing. Actually not much on the HorrorDVDs forum either but a few people check out the what's in your collection topic. Next up is Pinhead coming out next month I think.

Rick and Morty Mr Meeseeks variant. This one came in its own protective plastic case so I'm thinking about possibly keeping it in the box as it is a limited edition and one of the more rare Rick and Morty pops.

None of them are in boxes but I actually recently won a 24 Rick and Morty Funko Pop lot on eBay with a lot of them that I have wanted and even though they aren't in boxes, two of them are worth quite a bit as they are a set. I will post pictures when I get them considering one of them is Scary Terry, a Freddy Krueger rip off. One day I want to get Freddy Krueger and posed them staring at each other

So...I grabbed both of these second hand...but I kind of saw them, and needed to have them both.

The first is some kinda prop glove from NOES 3, which is my personal favourite installment, It's not of immensely high quality, but it's not poorly/cheaply made either. It looks nice and authentic. Proper blades too, not sharpened...yet...
Not sure what year this actually came out, it's from NECA, I imagine some of you are familiar with this brand.

The other was a Venom figure.
I am nowhere near well versed enough to know what line this was from or its year of release...but...I saw this, and this was Venom, to me, when I first started seeing the character, or a rather early incarnation anyway.
It's a nice, simple figure. Good condition. Points of articulation still functional and the figure can hold a pose.
This, right now...is my favourite figure.

ImmortalSlasher 06-26-2019 12:37 AM

They have some crazy good and expensive Venom statues out.
