Very cool article man...now I'm even more looking forward to seeing this.

And Ridley Scott just squashed one of my projects, which pissed me off for a minute then it occurred to me that Ridley Scott knows who I am now:D |
You've either been pissed off or on, man. No... wait...
I want to see Giallo. I don't know that it will come to Shitburg USA, which is where I live, but I'll buy it off Amazon. Is it going to be a big release or a small one? Looks divine, S. Am very proud of you. |
oooh just found this Italian Vogue photo shoot with Asia Argento and Adrien Brody. Thought maybe it was a wee bit related for posting here. http://claire.belliard.free.fr/clair...h2/lind48.html

that's cool! Thanks MM!
The Thursday night screening of GIALLO is sold out, so they added another screening on Sunday Night! http://www.edfilmfest.org.uk/whats-on/2009/giallo |
That's awesome that the demand for your film is so high! I bet the anxiety of seeing how it is received is killing you right now. (I know it'd be killing me.) Or are you too busy working on other projects to be sterssing over this one?
|
It really isn't bothering me. I'm so loony with projects right now that I don't have much time to worry about that which I cannot control.
I'll probably have an attack of nerves Thursday afternoon, but right now, I'm cool. I just can't wait to announce the next bit of news. This week I have been interrogating a couple of badass ex-LAPD, drinking beers and listening to tales of shootouts, kidnappings, car chases and assainations. |

The screening is a few hours away and I finally got a little nervous about it. Good thing I'm going out for drinks with a couple of renegade ex-cops.... they ought to be able to take my mind off it.:D |
Will do Sean, I'm just about to head over to Edinburgh now, grab a few pints at the Blackrose tavern and then down to the filmhouse. I'll take my camera and get a few snaps of the night...

|
I would say that that's a very wordy but good review. I'm happy to hear there is no cgi gore and hearing a bit more about the plot has got me super excited.
|
Congrats. Hope it's better than the user comments on IMDB suggest.
|
Bah- IMDB Morons.

Well, Last night was pretty damn good, the Audience gave a sincere round of Aplause at the end.
I was pretty impresed, it kept me entertained, I wasn't sure how my friend was taking all the brutality at first, then I rememberd she was German. I don't want to give much away, but I'm sure the rest of HDC are going to have a great time viewing it as well.... Good luck with it's success... *** 1/2 |
thanks for the kind words. I've seen good and bad reviews so far and even one "worst film ever" which made me smile and giggle a little.
here's one of the better ones http://retroslashers.net/blog/dario-...lusive-review/ |

Let us know if there's any word of Giallo playing at Toronto After Dark. I've got their site on RSS feed and Twitter just in case. I know Trick R Treat is going to be playing, so hopefully Giallo too.

And we've been getting SLAMMED by critics. Kind of funny, kind of sad.
Ain't it Cool News called it "the best bad movie I've ever seen" Twitch Film called it "one of the most purely entertaining films I've seen in years" I just wish the festival director at Fright Fest hadn't slammed it right before the screening. |
I never listen to critics or other people's opinions. They rarely coincide with my opinion.
I wish they would release it here. I'm dying to see it. |

I'm hoping I get a screener to review because a few of the critics/reviewers on the site I write for fit into that category... Can't wait to check it out. |

I know I ll love it (my immense love for giallos aside), and cant wait for it to release over here. You bet the moment these shores are hit by a print, it ll be mine. |
Don't get too excited. The film is a mess. My hope is that at least it is an enjoyable mess, but I can't really get into the film... too many elements missing from the script

I had read that Argento credited himself as both director and writer in the film's credits. I was going to ask you if you were upset about it, but seeing as how they totally changed it, I assume you're not to bummed. The whole thing seems kind of shitty, though (and I mean the situation, not the film. I haven't seen the film yet, but I'm super-pumped.). Was Argento hard to work with or was it due to something/someone else? |

Seriously though, I ll watch it nevertheless. I have a hunch it ll be just fine. |
