I d love to blast you all with plenty of lead. :)

neverending 04-30-2008 10:27 AM

Might as well end the challenge early- we all know who won & lost.

Not necessarily.

I want to make this game as fair as possible and that means that all the participants have an even playing field, and that it's a true wits vs. wits. Since certain people can only be on at certain times and people who can get on earlier in the day have a much greater advantage (since most of the challenges are posted around lunch time), than those on at night.

So, starting with this challenge (if it does turn out to be a tie), and all subsequent tie challenges. The will be a tie breaker of....Rock, Paper, Scissors! I will explain how this works at the first challenge that ends in a tie.

Ah, the twists and turns of Battle Royale...

HaHaHa...That is one of the COOLEST things I have ever heard :)

How about calling it...Bludgeon (Rock), Burial Shroud (Paper), Reaper's scythe (scissors)?

With the exact same properties and rules, of course :)

No, it was my idea to send you my answers

GorePhobia 05-01-2008 03:24 AM

So how many people still need to get their answers in?

neverending 05-01-2008 06:22 AM

Answers are all in. And I know we lost because I had a stupid wrong answer due to carelessness. So, to my team- I apologize for screwing us over.

Papillon Noir 05-01-2008 07:01 AM

Results of Challenge #2: Movie Adaptations

Well it looks like we have a clear winner as only one person got all the answers correct.

Here's a look at the answers that people got wrong:

#8: A man enlists his brother's wife to help him return to physical form.

Incorrect answer I received: The Fly (1958), which is wrong because a man enlists his brother's wife to help his brother, not himself

Correct answer: Hellraiser, The Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker, 1986.

#9: An FBI agent enlists the help of someone he put behind bars.

Incorrect answer I received: Silence of the Lambs, which is wrong because the FBI agent didn't put the killer she goes to for help behind bars, and she's also a woman.

Correct answer: Manhunter/Red Dragon, Red Dragon by Thomas Harris, 1981.

Deadites

Neverending - 56 pts
Fortunato - 56 pts
Cactus - 60 pts

Total - 172 pts

Cenobites

Ferretchucker - 56 pts
Gorephobia - 56 pts
V - 56 pts

Total - 168 pts

Which means that the Deadites are the winners of Challenge #2!

Sorry, Cenobites but you are going to the Catacombs!

Winnings and status update next!

See?...You just never can be sure what's gonna happen

That's what makes this so much fun :)

neverending 05-01-2008 07:26 AM

Well, I'm flabbergasted! And much thanks to Cactus for saving our ass!

GorePhobia 05-01-2008 07:40 AM

Yeah you never know how things will turn out.

It's cool Cactus actually fixed the answers or just did it himself.

Good job.

We will see you soon in them there Catacombs.

Papillon Noir 05-01-2008 07:48 AM

Okay Deadites. for winning Challenge# 2, you each get 1 re-animation pack, and your team gets a silver key.

The Cenobites got a gold key and now the Deadites have a silver key,

interesting...

The Cenobites have been released into the Catacombs!

Status Update:

Ferretchucker - full Life +1
Gorephobia - Full Life +1
V - Full Life +1
Alkytrio666 - Full Life +1

Items: Gold Key

The Deadites meet with with Weapons Master Bob to go over their weapon, which for this challenge is a Crossbow!

http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2...le/3332848.jpg

Their crossbows are equipped with one poison-tipped arrow. This is a special poison used to de-animate corpses (re-animation occurs so often these days), and counts as one bullet wound/damage point.

The Deadites are released into the Catacombs!

Status Update:

Neverending - Full Life +1
Cactus - Full Life +1
Fortunato - Full Life +1

Items: Silver Key

Deadites: You have until tomorrow, Friday May 2nd, noon EST to send your target via PM to me.

Failure to notify me of your target will release Cereberus into the Catacombs, who will maul your team and bring your total Life Points (includes re-animation packs) down 1/3.

Yeah I didn't want to post a picture with movie title in it for the second picture because I thought it would give away the clue to easily.

Papillon Noir 05-01-2008 11:21 AM

Deadites:

I just realized that I may not have been super clear that each of you have to send me a name for your specific target.

That is all. :)
