Holy fuckin shit Sean, good freakin' job man. Dude I'm so happy for you. Literally, i'm fucking hung over worse than the day after my highschool graduation party, and that put a huge smile on my face. You deserve it man.

I do have a question for you... What did you write in Mammoth? That seems to be the only movie i've seen that you've worked on. I was just looking at your IMDB page and noticed that Mammoth was on your list, I do remember hearing about it but I didn't watch it until recently.

Again Gratz to you mister big time Hollywood writer.

I wrote a bunch of the the first act, but most of the second and third acts were heavily re-written written by Tim and Brooke our original ending was waaaay crazier, but cost-prohibitive. I came up with the character & location names (my grandma was from a town called Blackwater) and a couple of good lines.

the whole bit with the deputies and Vincent was supposed to be really snappy, not played like moronic rednecks.

This is great......for ALL of us. When Fangoria is interviewing you and you tell them about how you get all your inspiration from HDC, especially Newb. I also can't wait to see my name in the credits.....try to fit me between Dario Argento and Asia somewhere.

Just went through the entire thread...and I recall announcing LA Gothic in my Latest News in Horror thread awhile back. Hearty congratulations, Sean...all the dedication and perseverance have finally paid off and how!

I bet Mrs Keller is doubly proud. Tell your kids for me they got an awesome Dad...who just got famous out of his socks!

And oh yes...say hi to Dario and JC for me.

All the best...I hope 2008 turns out to be the most memorable year of your life. Best wishes and prayers with you.

From Screen Daily:

TWC to take US, Latin America on next Dario Argento horror movie
Sheri Jennings in Rome
29 Jan 2008 19:28

The Weinstein Company (TWC) is in final negotiations to take US and Latin American rights to Dario Argento's forthcoming Giallo which is scheduled to start shooting on March 3.

LA-based Hannibal Pictures is handling world sales and also financing the $7-8m picture, which has been described as a return to the genre that the cult horror director pioneered in the 1970s.

TWC previously bought rights to Argento's last film, The Mother Of Tears, which was the third installment of a witch's trilogy that began with cult horror classics Suspiria and Inferno.

Hannibal CEO Richard Rionda Del Castro also confirmed sales to Media Films for Spain and Portugal, Spentzos for Greece, Monolith for Poland and Eagle Films for the Middle East. Del Castro said he expects to also tie up deals with Italy, France, Scandinavia, Germany and Japan early next week.

The picture stars Vincent Gallo in the lead role of a serial killer, with Ray Liotta playing the detective who has long been tracking him.

The plot revolves around the snatching of a fashion model (Elsa Pataky) just as her flight attendant sister (Asia Argento) jets to Milan to meet her on a shoot.

The cast will be rounded out with a cameo by an internationally renowned fashion designer, the film's co-producer Rafael Primorac told Screendaily. Primorac's LA-based Arramis Films is producing with Claudio Argento of Rome-based Opera Film.

Screenwriters Jim Agnew and Sean Keller wrote the story inspired in part by Argento's legacy. "It's a very fast story with strong characters. It has great energy and is very creepy," Primorac assures.

The film will shoot for 30 days in the Turin Piedmont district in the North-West of Italy. It will be Argento's seventh film to shoot in the region, the director's favorite location to shoot, Opera Film confirmed.

Psycom5k 01-30-2008 11:39 AM

Wow, Nice. So feelin big in your britches now? :D

missmacabre 01-30-2008 12:18 PM

Little bit of plot description. I love it, sounds so good.

GorePhobia 01-31-2008 12:41 AM

Dude Sean that is amazing.

The news keeps getting better and better. Congrats you bastard. You deserve it.

hammerfan 01-31-2008 04:15 AM

This is so awesome, Sean! I'm very happy and excited for you! And I can't wait to see the movie!

Roderick Usher 01-31-2008 07:02 AM

As of Monday Morning, we will be in full pre-production, meaning a staff in Torino, Italy will be getting paid to do all the prep that goes into movie making. Set construction, costuming, bit-part and extras casting, securing location permits, etc.

I wish I were there!

newb 02-03-2008 09:41 AM

I think Sean should set up a private screening....just for us HDC'ers. Fly us all out to L.A. on your private jet...perhaps a meet and greet with the director....some wine and cheese would be nice.

That would be one of the coolest experiences ever. If nothing else just all meeting up and screening the flick would rock my world.

Private Jet?
yeah, um...I'm broke. Actually I'm kinda drowning in debt right now. Hopefully these gigs will put a serious dent in my financial woes.

What I'm getting paid is less than what any of you make in a year...and It's been more than a year's worth of work to get this script to this point.

I'm just hoping to be able to buy a house at some point, since 4 of us are living in a 2 bedroom apartment.

Once Giallo and LA Gothic come out I'm sure you'll be in enough demand to get a couple of houses... you'll just have a lot more writing to do.
