D - now there's a game I havent heard about in years...remember playing it about 7-8 years back...I got stuck in the stage where the armored knight walks over and trips the girl into the pit...back to the beginning again...it used to be so frustrating...till I noticed the little arrow pointing to one side just before the knight struck...and presto, moving on!:D ...A tad slow but nevertheless an excellent, excellent game.
Reminds me of two others on the PS :- Dracula: Resurrection Dracula 2: Last Sanctuary Nice combo of atmosphere in a game if ever there was one. Frustrating to solve the puzzles too. |

There was a great DOS game called Veil of Darkness that revolved around hunting a vampire. Sid Meier's Darklands created a bleak medieval world with lots of horror elements and a harsh reality that pissed off many a power gamer. Baldur's Gate 2 has several moments of horror and a strong horror plot at its core. As for pencil and paper roleplaying games Deadlands features a dark, steampunk wildwest.

Ooooh how nifty. I just saw this here with the umping and what not... and whiel I am not really sure how these lest-ey things work here (I will research it around when I get some time) I'd be pleased to help out ehre. I think there are som fantastic suggestions and some which are just too thin on horrific elements to truly fit, as well as some pretty surprising omissions from my POV.
I am actually gonna have quite a bit of time on my hands at the end of the week, and I'd love to help this get cleaned up. |

This project has been on the burners for such a long time, it's a shame we haven't sat down together to nail the Top 100 yet. Looking back through the thread and adding all the later suggestions, we have a final master/massive list of 251 recommendations (taking out the duplicates and fine-proofing the entries). What I want from all of you, is to send me a list of your chosen Top 20 games from this list which, in your opinion, is a must-play game for you. As always, more recs are always welcome. Amber: Journeys Beyond (top horror gameplay, if there ever was one) Some new ones - Resident Evil 5 Bioshock 2 S.T.A.L.K.E.R. : Shadow of Chernobyl Penumbra: Black Plague ...off the top of my head.
