I hate remakes and especially of classics that still stand up well, however, if anyone is going to touch my beloved Halloween, it should be Zombie. He's actually a fan. Most of these remakes need to have someone on set to tell whatever chowderhead director they pick out of the hat what the original movie was about. Carpenter is even on board. I don't know..if anyone can pull it off it's going to be Zombie.

That i show I see it. Beyond the hype and media and what ever i just want to see it just to see how it turns out. THEN I'll decide if it is crap or what. Who knows maybe it will be good? No one will ever really know till they see it.

I heard that there is supposed to be a preview before Grindhouse... any truth to this? Not the fake one he is doing either but an actual Halloween preview

I went to the sneak preview of Grindhouse, and there was NO "Halloween Trailer". The only trailer they played was "1408". Maybe it was because it was a sneak preview. :confused:

I'm pretty much the only one here who has no worries as to how this film will turn out. I don't hold Halloween on such a high platform, perhaps thats why. I didn't think the original was the #1 horror movie everyone claims it of being.

I want to see what Zombie does with it, and I have loved his two past films... I don't think this will be any different - but who knows. He sure has added his own fresh touch and I like the changes. Yes, I said it. :p

I was already super-pumped for this but seeing the trailer last night took it to another level. Can't wait for August 21st.

ok i watched the trailer a read through these 12 pages of junk on this post well some of it was junk....anyway you are all forgetting one thing or you don't know ......do you know what the end of august is -----that is shitty movie release week or month what ever ----so hollywoood has already declared it junk buy releasing it aug 31 they could have waited till oct 31 but nope more hype and all but they go for 8-31 and rob zombie knows this he will most likely not do any more movies for this studio if possible

Actually, the late August release allows the film to have it's big opening weekend and then linger in the theaters for a short while before the Halloween season starts.

They are hoping for a long profitable run that won't compete with the new SAW installment that always rolls out on Halloween weekend.

So what is it, your expecting a great film from him, but yet your saying that is movie career will be washed up soon ? You said in an earlier post look at house and rejects what do you think? Your saying you hate his movies but your expecting a great film. I don't get it, can you explain to me ?

The release date has absolutely NOTHING to do with how good or bad a movie will be.

With that being said, I try my best not to watch remakes in the theatres. Way too many of remakes of horror flicks being made and don't like to support that. I've caved in a few times and watched a couple remakes and they always seem to end up being not good at all.

But I'm way too intrigued by this particular remake. I loved House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, and I'm curious as to what Zombie will do with this one, so I'll probably end up checking this one out as well.
