I don't get into expensive stuff...So, I'd say the most expensive things that I ever wear belong to my daughter or her boyfriend...

Im the biggest bargain shopper around, so I never buy expensive stuff.

My homecoming dress (I'll post pictures someday, its the prettiest thing I own :D ) was $52.....I really dont think I own anything that cost more than $100.

Totally bro. Hell i usually just buy stuff from the Thrift Store. Or i buy cheap white shirts for like $3 each

cheebacheeba 09-05-2004 11:13 AM

Put it this way, apart from the aforementioned boots and jacket, I usually only buy relatively cheap stuff too, it's not that I cant afford the more expensive items, well, that does come into play, but it's more that I don't dig paying over 4 times more just to give free advertising to a company that's already rich off charging that much for it in the first place.
Unless things are of exceptionally poorly made by a dodgy company, you'll get the same, if not better in some cases, quality as the more expensive brands anyway.
I'm a pretty casual dresser, so apart from a few nice shirts, a few jackets and some more "formal" pants, it's pretty much cargo's, boots n T's for me, not really expensive items in themself either.

same here. except when it comes to jewelry, pretty much i get regularly priced stuff. ive bought jeans anywhere from $18 - $80. since i sew now i especially nkow how much shit is worth and wont pay more than $20 for a shirt.

the dress though is for a special occasion so that i dont mind spending more on.

i know some people who will only buy name brand, or even worse 'i only buy clothes at the mall.' name brand is one thing but the mall? wtf does that mean? i walked into Ross and bought these kick ass pleather pants with a rope thing on top for $12. the damn things ripped after a couple months but hey i had fun.

walked into charlotte russe (or was it wet seal) some time afte and saw the exact same pants... $35!! the only difference other than the price were the tags. they all come from the same sweatshop..

Well, I don't wear any jewelry as such, 'cept for a faded stirling silver "stake" cross in my ear....I didn't think to add my watch though...not hugely expensive, but I wanted a nice one, and a watch is something I don't mind paying a little extra for...I actually saw this one watch I really liked, after having purchased cheap shitty ones again and again, I grabbed the one I have now, it was $240AUD, not greatly expensive, but I got what I consider to be a pretty good one.

Although, I have seen some ridiculously priced watches out there...I mean, there's fucking watches that are worth more than most standard model cars...there's gotta be something more than "being a stupid rich asshole" wrong with the people who actually consider buying these, I will never understand it.
Do they give you some kind of superhuman powers, prehaps?

So yep, trusty black boots, a nice jacket, and a decent watch to go along with my "stylishly" casual wardrobe, that's it, I'm sure that other than that I've not shelled out more than $50AUD for any one item of clothing I own.
