For real, its not a matter of switching really, its like im the same person all the time, just other people cant pinpoint it down to a name because i give off lots of gender specific actions that contradict themselves....

Take my car for instance, i dont switch personas to one that i don't enjoy racing or driving it (a somewhat masculine activity/pastime, if we are stereotyping), i just enjoy that ALL the time....

Same with painting my nails and putting on make up, there aren't any times when i DON'T enjoy this, when it seems not "me", its just how i am all the time....

So, in conclusion, despite your lack of extential knowledge of my specific personality(ies, ha!) i think your diagnosis is correct...if i DID actually have different personalities they wouldn't be aware of each other, and i would just switch randomly, which i never do...

Wow, this has been interesting, maybe we should let someone else get on the couch tho lol....i've hogged the stage for long enough...

LOL, no i don't ever feel like "being" an animal, i don't really feel like "being" male or female either, its just me and sometimes im more one than the other....

Now if you meant animalistic, as in, do i ever get ferocious and animal-like, then yes, im not sexual very often, as i've had many, god MANY, bad experiences, but when i get there, its more like a nuclear explosion....but i'd rather leave the specifics laid here, as there is something somewhat, unclassy about speaking of genitalia on a public forum....much less mine specifically...

There have been a few legitimate cases documented. They are very few and far between. Most cases, as you said, have been disproven.
