majority of crimes ARE crimes of passion. you are heated and arent thinking straight.

think about it. i would never kill anyone. but if one day i walked in and my best friend was raping my young daughter...... (yes, this has happen several times before of course not to me).

you dont do you research do you?? :p

no argument with you there. sorry if I offended you or anybody else.

crimes of passion due happen, no argument there.

i'm just saying i think the waiting periods don't really work how they're supposedly set up to work. that's all.

i think we're all in agreement, that criminals are going to get guns no matter what, we or our government try to do about it.

No, I'm not offended. I rarely get offended, unless someone starts to attack me personally for my opinions (like calling me stupid, ugly, fat, stinky ... that kind of thing). And when that happens, I usually just stop talking to the person. They're wasting my time.

point of waiting period

1) to do a background check
2) in case that person IS heated and wants to off someone, this will give them cooling down time

HappyCamper 07-23-2004 03:24 PM

i'm not starting any more issue topics

fluffho 07-23-2004 03:24 PM

like I said earlier, the problem isn't with the guns, it's with the people.

i'm done.

Gun control doesn't work, cause it's like the old saying. "guns don't kill people, people do" (or what ever) Australia had fairly lack gun controls, we had to have liecences and the like, but nothing to drastic. then one day some nut case went whacko in tasmania and killed about 20 or so people, and the anti gun lobby went went crazy and now we have some ofthe toughest gun regulations in the world. but the gun crime has actually soared since the new laws came in to effect. I guess they forgot another saying " if you out law guns, only outlaws will have guns".
anywho l'm agaisnt gun control, it just doesn't work

"Guns don't kill people. I kill people."

I'm not allowed to own or even handle a firing arm. But don't stop me. I'm a Gun Nut. And what they don't know can't hurt'em.
