I love this movie but man part 2 was a let down.

KRUGERKID13 06-29-2004 11:57 PM

yeah it was pretty dissapointing but most of sk sequals are simply cause hes not associated with 'em

i still find this movie incredably disturbing which is why i love it so much

i still remember the saturday morning i had first seen it. i was watching the Ramones video on MTV. i was eight years old at the time and we were on our way to the movies. this was my first introduction to Mr. King and have been totally obsessed with him ever since.

i didn't read the book until i was twelve though. it was my first SK book and still one of my favorates.

Pet Semetary also happes to be the only reason i love the Ramones just because they did that catchy song which plays during the credits.

ummm...that's cause you saw the movie first.....

you would have liked the book if you read it first. That's the problem today with movies adapted from books.....OBVIOUSLY the movies are VERY condensed and things happen faster...

read the book first, THEN see the movie.....then its all good.

First off i read the book first read it when i was in second grade and then again just recently saw the movie shortly after reading it the first time so no thats not the case

I read the book when I was 12. I have actually been reading it over and over since then. As soon as I stop I start it again. It's probably my favorite book.

I can see why everyone hates part two. I really has nothing to do with part one, but I really really enjoyed myself watching part 2. I love Edward Furlong in it, he's great. You just have to take it as face value and not expect it to be as good as the first one.

About book-movies: I read PS first so I love it. But I saw IT and the Shining and Thinner first, so I cant get into the books. It sucks because I think The Shining book
sounds even better than the movie, but I cant get into it.

Yeah, I really wanted to batter that kid. Screw you! you're not going to kill me! Sorry, but films like that I find really annoying - remember scream 3 where they tell that girl not to go off on her own and she gets knifed on the stairs? Same thing with some toddler holding a scalpel. gets on my nerves.

that's really sad that you can't get into it and the shining, for these novels are absolute classic king, two of his best in my opinion. i read them when i was a kid and haven't been able to sit through the movies again since.
