Thanks for your interesting listings! ::shocked::

Here is mine:

1. Hostel (2005) rescue / eyeball scene. A remarkable achievement. I find no words to explain... link
2. Hostel (2005) final kill. Nicely subtle. link
3. What Keeps You Alive (2018) final scene. An excerpt from Beethoven. Makes me very sad -- a response I usually don't have with Beethoven's music. ::confused::
4. The Evil Dead (1981) `happy ending', sunrise. ::cool:: link
5. Sleepy Hollow (1999) opening credits. link

Cool list!

What is number 4 happy ending, sunrise? I need a soundtrack track number or give me a youtube video clip.

Here's the ED soundtracks https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...HpxIPoGWnpU-jk

Nice one. Hey while you at it. Can you pick the youtube clips you want for your other selections. I might get them wrong potentially.

OK, guess I'll throw in my 5...at first had to think which 5 have stuck with Me. Then thought of several more::shocked:: For now, here they are.

1-PSYCHO (1960). Groundbreaking and still frightening Bernard Herrman score.

2-NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (1968). While it's mostly library music and taken from other films (Two being TEENAGERS FROM OUTER SPACE and THE HIDEOUS SUN DEMON), feel it's effectively used.

3-HORROR OF DRACULA (1958). Love the bombastic music during the opening credits...

4-FRIGHT NIGHT (1985). The song "Come To Me" when Jerry initiates Amy

5-THE THING (1982). So spare and so creepy!

Thanks, Dwight! We're doing specific tracks of soundtracks so people can easily take a listen to a piece during the tourney.

Which tracks did you want?

For Pyscho most peeps either mean The Flight https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Md37...JfS8RN&index=5
or Murder (the shower). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P119...fS8RN&index=15

For NOTLD most peeps mean Funeral Pyre https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHgw...IpnCl&index=15
or Main Title: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxGA...EIpnCl&index=1

For Dracula it's probably: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZ0KW6IqjxI

Come To Me from Fight Night: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bp8ltiqnzc

And for The Thing I think "Antarctica, Winter" is the classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZaS...zSSw8H&index=4

We are starting now? And it's just soundtracks from movies? Or more?

You're right, Sculpt..I should have been more specific ::embarrassment::...I was thinking about whole soundtracks. Well, here We go!

1-PSYCHO...Definitely "The Murder"..so terrifying. Listen to that scene without the music and even more creepy, like a Snuff film (Not that I've ever seen one)

2-NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD- Like the whole soundtrack (especially the "Funeral Pyre"), but the one I think has the most impact is "Final Advance", right after The Sheriff mentions "They're Dead...They're all Messed Up". The reverb is extremely effective. (In the film, it's when the Group is watching TV and the lights go out).

3-HORROR OF DRACULA-Opening score with the credits is what I was thinking of.

FRIGHT NIGHT-This was also what I was thinking. The version with vocals is pretty good also.

THE THING-The opening score nails it! Love those simple but effective Bass notes.

Yes, I'm having participants go ahead and list their 5 tracks here. It's best if people can just grab their 5 links from youtube to be precise. Youtube has separate tracks for every track on a soundtrack. So you can take a listen and pick the ones you really mean.

I'm pretty busy with a lot of things, but we can collect everyones tracks here for the next few weeks.

Ok. Soundtracks / score music only? No songs?

I'll get 5 for next week.
