http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps886f995e.jpg You might want to amend those labels to "CIS Man" and "CIS Woman." Without the prefix of "cis," the implication is that "transgender" is in a different bucket as "man" and "woman" meaning that someone who is "trans" is not "man" or "woman." The prefix "cis" allows specific and differentiation of identification of being "male" or "female." Example: Caitlyn Jenner was born a man with male body parts and did not identify with those parts or that gender; she is a trans woman. I was born a woman with female body parts and identify with these parts and this gender; I am a cis woman. |
^ Good post, but if this topic were to include every or most gender options... I'd be hella long.
The following are the 58 gender options identified by ABC News: Agender Androgyne Androgynous Bigender Cis Cisgender Cis Female Cis Male Cis Man Cis Woman Cisgender Female Cisgender Male Cisgender Man Cisgender Woman Female to Male FTM Gender Fluid Gender Nonconforming Gender Questioning Gender Variant Genderqueer Intersex Male to Female MTF Neither Neutrois Non-binary Other Pangender Trans Trans* Trans Female Trans* Female Trans Male Trans* Male Trans Man Trans* Man Trans Person Trans* Person Trans Woman Trans* Woman Transfeminine Transgender Transgender Female Transgender Male Transgender Man Transgender Person Transgender Woman Transmasculine Transsexual Transsexual Female Transsexual Male Transsexual Man Transsexual Person Transsexual Woman Two-Spirit And Boss thought this was a SIMPLE question. Nay nay. |
I did the poll also. I posted as a woman.
