Werner Herzog's "Nosferatu The Vampyre", staring Klaus Kinski-
http://i36.tinypic.com/2e21keb.jpg Klaus Kinskis' rendition of the Count deserves props as one of the all-time greats. Better than Frank Langella and his Saturday Night Fever blowout any day of the week- http://i36.tinypic.com/9tjrig.jpg |
Countess Dracula is wonderfully stylish with just a hint of Lesbian love-yay Brilliant!

The original Nosferatu and Dracula with Lugosi, then the Hammer series with Lee and Cushing.
Fright Night was good too, because it was it's own movie. It didn't rely on a tie in to the classics. I always found the newer re-makes with Cruise and Oldman as trying too hard and off the mark of the feeling trying to be conveyed. I want to be scared, not laugh or think "this guy would have been so much better in this role". |
How about The Blade Series of movies. And Bram Stoker's Dracula.
|
I really enjoyed John Carpenter's Vampire. It had everything I look for in a vampire movie.
