I know about the case in Russia you are talking about (The one Started by the Italian Police) - no 'snuff' tapes were ever reported discovered - there were child porn tapes though...Dmitri Vladimirovich Kuznetsov wasn't charged with murder or conspiracy to murder, surely this would have been the case if such tapes existed...Intiall media reports did mention 'Necro Pedo' and children dying on tape but nother further came out - keep in mind this is 8 or so years old..

I always thought the film they show in God's Lonely Man was a better example of what a snuff movie would entail than 8mm. The shit in 8mm was to overblown to be realistic.

But yeh the whole snuff thing is an urban legend, of course there are countless videos of real life deaths like you said but there definitely not "snuff" flicks in that sense.

Yeah, when the guy states a snuff film as something of financial gain, i didnt click really, i always thought of snuff, as homemade shit, Leonard lake & Charles Ng style. Which of course is real, it scares me alot more knowing they wanted to murder someone on tape so they could jerk off to someone being murdered on tape as apposed to selling to some italian millionaire!
