i dont think streaming shows up in your temp files

It doesn't show up in mine. I know there's a trail of what sites have been viewed, but the actual video is not downloaded to your hard drive.

I hook my pc up to my 32 in flat screen tv in the living room to watch tv shows/ some movies....I don't have cable because I can't afford 50/60 bucks a month for it. I do buy movies that I like. I usually only use streaming for tv shows and like you said, movies that are harder to find or aren't out yet.





You said that looking at anything/listening to anything on the computer is 'downloading'... To stream is to watch without having to download or save to your computer in any way... NE agreed with you I presumed, and so I asked why so many sites are allowed to host movies/tv without getting sued... (since downloading is illegal) More than likely because they are being uploaded by people who own them are sharing them, as would someone lending a dvd to another.

Multiple people who have no idea how the internet works agreeing with each other doesn't make their assumptions correct. There exists confusion between "downloading" and "a download."

Look- you can't see or hear diddly squat from the internet till your computer DOWNLOADS it from a remote server to your computer. No web pages, pictures, audio or video. NOTHING. Temp files are called temp files for a simple reason- they're TEMPORARY. They're discarded and deleted on a regular basis. With streaming media this happens in a rapid succession- but saying the downloading isn't happening because you can't find the temp files is like saying the garbage you threw out last week never existed because you can't find it any more.

I realize it may be neccessary for people to try and split hairs so they can try and justify their actions, but it doesn't change the reality of the situation. Why bother? You're not fooling anyone. Own your behavior, as some here have done. Admit you don't care - at least it's more honest than people who try and say they can't see how they're doing anything wrong.
