those are posers, a real goth would never disgrace her/himself with a pin... but if your even semi smart all the makeup, the blood, the black clothes...they fade into the background when your heading for a job interview, otherwise id still be running around un employed, life aint all that easy.

...? Then how about you just not look stupid in the first place, and dress decent everyday?

Give it up, dressing in all black, having blood on you, and painting your face white doesn't do anything. "But I'm expressing myself!!" No, you just look like a loner.

doesnt matter how smart you are, you could be fuckin einstein but if you run around looking like manson, no one's gonna care

sure they can give you the interview... but they have to think 'what will this person look like to those who walk in here'

look at all those woroking with fortune 500 companies, ceos, people that make more than minimum wage an hour or bag groceries.. stuff envelopes

do you hear me talking down on normal people all the time? no you dont, because thats discrimination, you cant vew it from a stereotypical point of view, specialy when all you know are posers.
why should we all dress the same? why should we all think the same way? why should we listen to the same music and hang out around the same places? is that realy what you want? what diversity would there be on this plannet without the darker crowds of people. we may be few, but lets face it, we make you guys look a lot more normal.

i have pink hair now because i live at home with my parents

but once im out, its gone. see, i enjoy luxury cars and eating shrimp.... or even just being able to put gas in a crappy car and eating white bread

i can be an individual and not look like a fool. individuality is in your head, not in your clothes

first of all...dont start comparing marilyn manson to goths....
you have PINK hair... and goths look like fools? im surprized your not a natzi, your kind of person is the reason life turns hard for us, its people like you who start bar fights with people like me and always us who takes the blame just because we look a little diffrent. tell me, seriusley, what is so fucking wrong with being an individual?

fluffho 02-12-2004 04:04 PM

1) i look good with my hair. now if i were to add a bunch of pins, black make up, hideously long black fingers nails.. that would be a different story. and for your information, i've gotten quite a few inquiries from MODELING agencies, even with my pink hair. notice there arent too many 'goth' models

and

2) i said, individuality is in your head, not your clothes.

dress how you like.. fine. but im sick of all those goth kids at school that whine about how horrible life is, and how they cant get a decent job... and they look like that

and

third.. individuality is in your head, not in your clothes

cant stress that enough

EDIT: and no, i dont start fights. i have all kinds of friends, the muslim to the chinese to the jehovah's witness. including a couple goth friends.

Moonsorrow, you don't talk down normal people, because that's precisely what they are. And how do you know what kind of gothics I know? You're being stereotypical by saying "oh, that person isn't a real gothic." Who are you to judge what a real gothic entails?

That's much like what Hitler did when he exterminated people. Your hair isn't blonde enough, your eyes not blue enough. They were then killed.

I'm not saying you have to look the same, listen to the same music, hang out at the same places. But do you have to do it looking like that? There's a reason why gothics are outcasts, and why they are the few.

I listen to heavy metal, but do I dress that way? No, I wear khakis and collared shirts. Does that mean I'm not being an individual...? Uh..? And metal isn't the only music I listen to. I listen to a diverse selection.. Why are you limited to listening to such angry music?

Ok, and you tell me something. Did Picasso dress in all black? Did Da Vinci? Galileo? Or artists of today? Are you saying they're not expressing individuality, even though they are very individual? Give me a break. You act like dressing like that is the only way to express yourself.. That's very closed.

And it's like Fluff said, it's in your mind. Just because you may dress in the same fashion as everyone else doesn't mean you're a conformist.
