Yep. Brain Damage is a ridiculously cheesy rec. :)

That goes straight into the list as well.

I don't know if you include man made creatures but Frankenhooker kicks major amounts of ass.

Have you seen Razorback?

Have you seen the slasher Pieces ('82)? If not, its a hell of a lot of fun.
So is Don't Look in the Basement ('73).
And Q: The Winged Serpent is definitely a good one, I watched it recently.
Two more slashers that fit, Happy Birthday to Me and also Terror Train.

I have trouble recommending films since there are so many that only I would like.....

Satan's Little Helper is a hilarious and cheesy B horror movie. My boyfriend picked it up for us a couple years ago and we were on the floor laughing.

It Waits (2005)

Jeepers Creepers
isn't cheesy to me. It was very disturbing in some parts. It's a creature movie. :)
Venom (1982)

The Mothman 10-31-2008 04:35 PM

Aren't these both Hellenlotter films?
I've only seen Basket Case but I'm trying to see some more from this guy.

Frank Henenlotter is a fuckin' god! Brain Damage is a amazing film that ranks as one of my favorites. Can't wait to check out Bad Biology.

Can't beat the Basket Case trilogy for creature flicks.

Neon Maniacs is a fun flick too (but I think me and Crabby are the only cats that dig it tho haha).

Ohh yes I forgot Basket Case. Adding them to the list as we speak. I ll see if I can get hold of Neon Maniacs. Thanks, bud. :)

Jenna's rec of Terror Train reminds me - how is Horror Express? I have heard nothing but good things about it, but have held back getting it till now. Is it as good as they say?

Elvis_Christ 10-31-2008 06:39 PM

Have you seen Motel Hell? It's probably exactly what you're after.
