Alot of people don't like this film. I thought it was good, and fairly hardcore in the gore factor. I liked that it explained more things about the events in the other movies. When i heard it was out i wondered how they would be able to make another story, but they did and i think that they did it well.

I watched Saw V in the theater it was OK, but not worth the ticket price. Wait for DVD and if you can rent it for a $1 at the supermarket do that, Or netflix. Seemed too short and the end was not a big surprise.

I wish they would have stopped after II. II was enough to turn me off from the series (admittedly the used syringe pit was pretty cool).

I have a question about the very beginning, there was something that I didn't understand

I'll put it in spoiler text because I know that there are still a few people who haven't seen it yet:

The guy did what he was supposed to do to save himself, but he was killed anyway...Why?...Did he wait too long to do it?

Your Q & A are both in white, highlight

The first trap was just the detective taking care of his sister's killer, he set it up like a Jigsaw trap so he wouldn't be a suspect. There was really no escape from that trap, just "justice". That's why Jigsaw was pissed...

No offense...but did you watch the rest of the movie? Spoiler text as well:

The whole point was that he was killed. Jigsaw didn't set up that trap - Hoffman did. The victim killed Hoffman's sister and got off, so he decided to kill him and make it look like a Jigsaw murder. Hence why Jigsaw kidnapped/tested Hoffman and said how he doesn't like getting credit for shoddy work.

EDIT - Guess Despare beat me to it...

No I wasn't able to watch the whole thing (less than half an hour actually)...I suppose I would have understood it if I had :(

I will finish it at some point...

And thanks Return, for trying to help :)

One word review of the SAW films.

SAW - "escalating"
SAW 2 - "predominant"
SAW 3 - "illiterate"
SAW 4 - "childish"
SAW 5 - "pittth"

To sum up the series?

"chesty"

Okay, I watched the whole thing...I liked it, it wasn't bad...I hated the ending, but at least I understood it :)
