Warner Bros. is in talks to set the screenwriting team of Kieran and Michele Mulroney to pen a sequel to "Sherlock Holmes."

Studio's aiming to launch a franchise with "Sherlock," set to open on Christmas.

Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law and Rachel McAdams star in the pic directed by Guy Ritchie; Lionel Wigram, Susan Downey, Dan Lin and Joel Silver produced.

The basis for the film is both the Arthur Conan Doyle classic stories and the comicbook "Sherlock Holmes." Michael Robert Johnson, Anthony Peckham, Simon Kinberg and Wigram worked on the screenplay.

The Mulroneys penned "Justice League" for Warner Bros. along with writing and directing indie drama-comedy "Paper Man," starring Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Daniels.

You can see all sorts of crazy action happening in those little boxes on the sides. There's Rachel McAdams and Mark Strong, who play Irene Adler and Lord Blackwood, respectively. Check out the dog, a bird, some keys and a gun, and a bottle of what appears to be poison.

And of course Holmes (Robert Downey Jr) and Watson (Jude Law) in the middle of it all, cool and collected, as ever.

Having seen the trailers countless times, I can assure you there are plenty of explosions, chases, fight scenes and action galore- you'd think it was a Bruce Willis movie.
