Some people were tying this to the new show "Cryptids are Real".

Essentially, a quadruped recently washed ashore in Montauk, NY. Most likely it was some sort of 4-legged beast's carcass diluted by the water.

This cryptid is, like TOTALLY hot right now.

Even Fox News is on it. DAMN it's been a while since a cryptid has penetrated into pop culture.

I told you, those pictures of your cat scare me.

My GOD that site is both hilarious and annoying at the same time (I have a soft spot for Cryptids, but the "video evidence" is just an insult to my intelligence... if not pretty damn amusing).

But back to our Montauk Monster.

I have to say it. I LOVE advertising campaigns.

Venom Energy drink has announce a lifetime supply of energy drink as well as "corporate monster-hunting scholarship" to anyone who can capture the Montauk Monster alive:

Article here.

This kind if stuff cracks me up. I have to doff my hat to them, though. Good publicity stunt (like granting Champ protection).

By the way... Does anyone else think that the "monster" is flipping us off? lol

Looks kinda like a slug that's been adjusted to have a crazy face. Although if it is fake (which I don't think it is), it would be incredibly hard to do, considering it was wet and hanging off the boat.
