I like obama, and mccain. Is that normal to like someone from each side?

I'm not for either party, but sure as hell don't want a republican.

However, I live in Louisiana, and the democratic candidates are a woman,
and a black guy. Translation, my vote doesn't really matter. It'll go to Obama though.

As usual, it comes down to the lesser of several evils. I'd go with Obama, in spite of the fact that Oprah supports him. As an anarchist, I want fewer people getting in the way of my doing what I want. I would be a libertarian, but the whole Ayn Rand thing bothers me. People are supposed to give a shit for each other. Getting rid of big government out of enlightened self interest is as silly as mass homogeneity or a perpetual crusade. I don't believe poor people being able to eat gets in the way of my personal freedoms, nor does decent healthcare. The freedom to watch people starve in the streets is an absurd one. So, until society gets its act together and the private sector is ready to role up its sleeves and care for its fellow man , I'll take spineless middle of the road chickenshit over negligence or fascism.

It's strange, I'd vote democrat if I were american, but I'm a tory (conservative) supporter in england. :S
