Brutal? Alien. Nature's brutality to the max. It doesn't need chainsaws or machete wounds, the vicious tongue thing is brutal enough. Nasty, horrific, painful. You can almost feel the pain when it lacerates someones heart out...errrrghhhh

AHAHA! Yea. While Alien doesn't have the shock it did back in the late 70s, I still remember people's first reaction to that classic dinner scene...ya know, the chest bursting scene I loved seeing people watching it for the first time screaming and grabbing their own chests as if something was about to explode through it. :p

I know. But Holocaust is such a common movie around these parts, I was giving the fellow another different choice.

Has anyone seen Salo though? One thing I can gurantee you...you ll need at least a week to get your brains normal again, after you have finished watching.

Yeah, I saw Salo a few weeks ago. I don't think I'd put it up there with the most brutal necessarily, but it was VERY bizarre.

I still don't know what to make of it really. Not a movie I'd go back to in a hurry, certainly, but I'm glad I've seen it. Not to give it away, all I'll say is there was that eating bit and... eurgh!
