freddy is cool. one of the most original characters to date. maybe SOME of the sequels weren't quite par for the original they were all still pretty good.

Iwe only seen one of the nightmare-movies, dont know which of them though. It was the one where the child went over the freeway alone(from the hospital to their house i think). Anyone know which number that is?

I like the very dark Freddy. I think Freddy is probably the most well known horror guy. At least his name is. Comedians always refer to him (or Hannibal Lecter) I notice.

The Freddy from part 5 and 6 are the only ones I hated. They were way too silly. When Freddy is written right, he's very creepy and scary IMO.

Michael didn't just randomly hack and slash either.

Freddy always seemed to have that "lounge comedian" kind of schtick, very sarcastic. The Don Rickles of horror. LOL

He hand an agenda, sure. I'll admit that. Jason, really had a little bit of an ugenda, but if you were at a party with him, and you had nothing to do with Crystal Lake, you're still fair game.

Not a big Freddy fan here. He's my least favorite of the big 4.

But truthfully, I know what you mean. Some of the villains just don't do it for me. Micheal and Jason are so boring. Halloween was great slasher flick, but I can only take so much of the "strong silent type." I mean, hell, even the zombies in NOTLD at least moaned.
for real, "you tell'um Biggus...."!!:D

Freddy was okayish, but he was always being too charismatic to be scary. I mean, you can either get a 'that's SO scary!' reaction or a 'hey, that's pretty cool' reaction, and Freddy always seemed to go with the latter.
My thoughts exactly. Cool Kills. Too cool to be scary.
