Sentimentality means unearned emotion...of course that's a bad thing.

But don't take my word for it:

"The whole thing's just not funny enough for children. And it's far too sad for adults."- Stephen WhittyNewark Star-Ledger

"The kind of pandering family entertainment that would make even Walt Disney roll in his grave."Jan Stuart, Newsday

"Michael Caine is badly miscast in this movie. I didn't believe him for one second in that role."Richard Roeper, Ebert & Roeper

"Lions' iron whimsy is a jackhammer on the heart." Carrie Rickey, Philadelphia Inquirer

"There are too many leaden moments and odd shifts in tone to keep Lions from winning us over." Claudia Puig, USA Today

"A thirdhand lark." Ed Park, Village Voice

"Of little interest to anyone except those who thought Air Bud was too smutty."
Michael O'Sullivan, Washington Post

I didn't know there was so much hate. Even so, its one of the best movies i've seen. Meh, opinions are everywhere.

I guess I'm not the only one who loves John Tucker Must Die for the simple fact it can make you smile no matter what. Last Holiday as well.
